We had a lovely stay at the Captain Henderson House over St. Patrick’s Day weekend. We stayed in the room with the balcony that you can see from the front of the house. The beds are extremely comfortable, and there is so much charm and history all throughout the house.||The food was wonderful. The dining room was full on our first morning, so they set us up with a private dining experience in another dining area. The second morning we had the whole place to ourselves and were served green eggs and green pancakes (see photo) for St. Paddy’s Day! Such a fun surprise. I loved the complimentary snacks and drinks upstairs, and the cookies were so yummy.||Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A hidden gem in Arkadelphia! This is by far the most beautiful historical place I've ever stayed. Everything is in great condition and the tubs are fantastic. I really enjoyed my stay here and will be coming again. Also this place is good for a budget.

We love staying at the Capt Henderson House. We've stayed here a couple of times while our daughter was in athletics at HSU. It is a very warm and welcoming place and very reasonably priced. When you first step inside the front door you feel like you have stepped back in time. ||||The guest rooms are beautiful and they have done an outstanding job of blending modern comforts with decor from the past. The breakfast is outstanding, and nice amenities include snacks, cold drinks, and Keurig machines located both downstairs and in the nice kitchenette upstairs. Most of the ground floor consists of spacious rooms for visiting, playing games, reading, etc. Great place for a reunion!

Everything about our stay was fabulous--from booking our reservation to our wonderful room and delicious breakfast. Our room (The Phillips-Stone Room) was large and the bed was very comfortable. The clawfoot tub and shower combo had me worried, but we had very good water pressure. There are plenty of snacks and beverages available throughout the day and evening as the 2nd floor has its own well-stocked pantry for 24 hour access. There are 2 different seating times for breakfast and it is served at a large dining table with other guests present. We just loved our stay and enjoyed the opportunity to meet the other guests who we didn't even know were staying in the same house! Sitting in one of the living rooms or on the porch in a rocker is an added plus. There are televisions in each room, but who has time to watch when there is such an awesome house to explore? I highly recommend this bed and breakfast when staying in Arkadelphia.

Lovely owner who makes breakfast daily based on your dietary restrictions. Personally, I loved all the amenities and impressive variety of coffee and snacks at my disposal anytime of the day or night. This is the only place I'll be staying during my visits to Arkadelphia. Truly, a great value for the quality, experience and amenities. The rooms are worth well more than the owners charge. Excellent value for your traveling dollar!

Very nice restored mansion, Victorian style, many rooms for family gatherings, weddings, etc. Room was acceptable with nice claw tub & bathroom. Staff were warm & friendly. Breakfast & snacks were much appreciated. Had space to do some work outside of the bedroom. Adjoining Henderson State U. Good stay for not having to go to Caddo Valley. Only complaint was many flies in bedroom which was annoying.

I am reluctant to post this review, as this is my favorite B&B of all time. I would hate to see it overrun. We have stayed here many times over the years and chose it for our 49th anniversary. It is truly spectacular. Great location on the campus of Henderson State University, utilized as a training facility for the university, the staff is exceptional. The rooms are historically accurate, the building is exceptional, and the breakfast is to die for. I cannot overstate my love for this place. We offer drive to Arkadelphia just to stay here.

I stayed here both going and returning from my summer vacation. The rooms are beautiful and the ones I stayed in had claw footed bath tubs to relax in after a long day on the road. The breakfast while not extravagent was filling and well done. Lots of choices for tea. A bonus was the close proximity of the college campus that allowed for wonderful evening strolls. The bowl of M&Ms was a really nice touch.
