This is an amazing place! The Hobbit House was unique and every carefully curated detail added a bit of fun. It was luxurious and comfortable. The second breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We also enjoyed a lovely charcuterie board. The hosts also had a basket of snacks available and cold drinks in the refrigerator.
We saw four hawks on our walk, a hummingbird, and butterflies on the flowers outside our door. It would be nice to go again in the fall or winter when we could have a cozy fire in the stove.

This is a true hidden gem!! We had an absolutely magical time at Burrowdale Inn and felt like traveling into a Tolkien story book. The immaculate building design, decor, comfortable beds & linens, modern bathroom appliances made for a great stay. We came to celebrate a birthday and the second breakfast was DIVINE! Homemade lemon curd with french toast and eggs & catered to our vegetarian preferences. We even lucked out with a fairly clear night and could see the milky way from the perfect stargazing chairs out front of each home. We cannot wait to come back! Amy & Lael were wonderful hosts and have created such a special experience here. You will not regret your stay here!!

Stayed here during our elopement and everything was perfect. The area feels like youre in the Shire. The hobbit holes are very cozy and comfortable. Second breakfast is delicious, best meals of our whole trip!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is so peaceful and beautiful. I sat at a table outside at night with a book and let my stress melt from living in a big city. . The hobbit holes are immaculate and modern. The breakfast was the best I have ever had. Lael and his wife were so friendly. There are a lot of things to do close to here. If you are a Lord of the Rings fan, this place will fulfill all your fantasies. If you need to take a break from big city life, this is PERFECT. We also enjoyed stargazing. You must stay here.

The most unique hotel I've ever been to! As Lord of the Rings fans, staying in a hobbit hole was so unique and fun! Delicious breakfast, the rooms are luxurious and brand new. The bathrooms are spacious and large, the kitchens well equipped with drinks and snacks. The hosts are so kind and attentive. This property was so lovely and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I hope to come back soon!

This fun inn is located in a pretty secluded area so it's very quiet and feels very personal. The rooms are themed to the nines and are so incredibly cozy. I would absolutely recommend this for any casual or hardcore LoTR fans.
The road to get to the inn is a little bumpy and narrow, but not too bad to drive on.
Breakfast is included and let me tell you - they knock it out of the park. I have celiac disease and they were able to accommodate my diet no problem - a gesture I heavily appreciate!
Easily a 10/10 experience - if you're on the fence about staying here, don't be!

I really cannot say enough about our little slice of the Shire. Everything was fabulous and our hosts amazing. They took us in last minute and with our dog! If you’re in the area or could use a relaxing stop over on your way there and back again, don’t miss this gem.

The rooms are expertly put together and clean. It’s a unique experience and a beautiful property. The food was amazing! The hosts are so nice and it’s obvious that they have put a lot into these rooms. We only stayed one night, but were able to stay cool inside the room when it was 110+ degrees outside.
