I stayed in the Zen room. It is near living room with a screen separated. I like the”Zen vibe” the owner provided. Room and bathroom are clear and clean. Other guest might go in and out of shared bathroom, and that will have little noises. Be sure to bring earplugs in case you are sensitive to noise. In my case, I have a good night sleep. Bed is a good hotel quality one. If you come nearby, I recommend to stay here.

Great place to stay! Close to JT park entrance and grocery stores/restaurants. Very peaceful, clean and modern. Having kitchen access was great for us so that we could cook instead of eating out. Hosts were also helpful and friendly. We booked directly which was cheaper than online. Highly recommend Bodhi House if you’re in the Joshua Tree area!

Quiet home with guest bedrooms just a short drive from Joshua Tree NP. My bedroom had a private, connected bathroom. The room, bathroom, and common areas were all well kept and clean. The host was kind and friendly. I would return for another stay!

I had a wonderful stay. Kimberly and Bikki were gracious hosts.

This was my first time staying a place like this. In the past, I'd traveled with a dog, and always stayed in little motels and places like that. Being in a home felt nicer, and I slept very well. It was quiet, very serene and I like the fact that they honor their religious tradition. As a person who practices another minority religion (I am a Jew), seeing fellow travelers who honor their Buddhist tradition in ways that are non-proselytory, genuine, and based in kindness was very positive to see. As I forgot to remove my shoes, Bikki gently reminded me, as he cooled a delicious smelling vegetarian dish at the stove.

A sense of peace really envelops the Bodhi house, and I think the gentle rules reinforce the serenity of the Bodhi House.

The room was beautiful, having a full kitchen was nice, and the atmosphere was full of so much tranquility.

It is great for the solo traveler who wants some rest and serenity in the Joshua Tree National Park area.
