We LOVED our stay at Bessie’s Inn! The house had so much charm and character. It had everything we needed for our stay. Quiet, nice location with shops and restaurants close by. Sweet memories were made. We will definitely be back!!

Lucked into this place. Looks plain on the outside but very nicely updated on the inside and actually set up for guests. We don't stay at a lot of places like this because too many of them are just not very nice and they are NOT set up for guests. This place looks like the owners actually tried to anticipate guests needs and outfitted the place accordingly. The dining room/kitchen is all together and is roomy enough for a small family reunion. The location is a bit odd in that it is behind a gas station/convenience store but believe it or not, it's very quiet. The parking area is large and the whole place is surrounded by trees. There is a small upstairs balcony that is a great place to sit for a while, especially in the morning and evening. Plus, just about everything you need, including a couple of nice restaurants, is within a block or two of the house.

Very, very nice. And the owner is very easy to deal with. Since the place was not booked, we actually extended twice and wound up staying for three days. No problem extending and the simple check out rules are no hassle to follow.

If we pass through this area again, this will be the first place we call to stay.

Kudos to the owners for getting this place right! It was much appreciated and the stay was enjoyable and relaxing.

Visited here on my holiday to AR recently (from Scotland) and it was such a lovely house with plenty of room. Everything we needed was there and it was nice and clean. Communication with Bessie's owner was great. I would definitely recommend staying if in the area.

I've stayed here for 3 nights, the house is absolutely stunning. So much room, clean, vintage, full of facts, history books, amazingly comfy beds and new appliances. I would say it is the perfect mix of new and old. Great for history buffs, extended family coming to town, would also be great for a family get together. Center of town yet tucked away. The showers are amazing, including a old antique bath tub, and my favorite spot is the quite reading nook in the corner of the second floor. They put a lot of quality work into this house and they did an immaculate job. The only issue we had the entirety was the electronic door lock that I think the severe cold was getting to it, but everytime we had this issue the owner answered the phone and fixed it immediately. We will be back again for sure! Just a great experience.

What a beautiful restoration job done on an old house! The old and new are blended so well! We liked how things found during the restoration process are now part of the decor: old wallpaper and a partial corset are framed, pictures of the previous owner, pieces of the original flooring, etc. The house is very comfortable and well stocked! We drove several hundred miles out of our way to stay here, as I had watched the transformation of the house on Facebook and wanted to see it in person! We were not disappointed! Thank you for a great visit and enjoyable stay!

The home has been beautifully restored. Great location close to family. Comfortable beds and a fantastic shower. The kitchen is large and has everything needed to cook and feed a group. We had 9 family members for at least one meal per day. Betty is a most considerate hostess and sees to it that you have everything you need. I will definitely stay again. Thanks again for making our stay a good one.

Bessie’s Inn is exceptional!!! It was clean, spacious, beautifully furnished, and had a most welcoming atmosphere!!! It has a full functioning, modern kitchen. I was made welcomed but it’s owner to use whatever I needed. The washer and dryer came complete with detergents and fabric softeners. How often do I get farm fresh eggs as you supply in your fridge?!?! I highly recommend Bessie’s Inn to anyone looking for a quiet reprieve, to history buffs who’d thoroughly enjoy the area’s involvement in many areas of national interest, or for a night’s stay for those just passing through. Thank you, Betty!!! You truly have the heart it takes to be successful in your endeavors!!! You care about people and proved it to me personally!!! ? I thoroughly enjoyed browsing through the community artwork hanging on your walls, and scattered throughout this beautiful home; for it truly feels like “home”!!! Thank you, also, for the bag you leave for your guests to take as a souvenir of our stay!!! What a useful gift!!! God bless you and Bessie’s Inn!!! My only regret is I did not get to meet you personally and hug you!!! You and your inn were a precious blessing to me!!! We rented the entire house for the weekend. The host were so helpful and made sure everything was just right for our family when they arrived. Everyone was comfortable and had a restful evening.
