We had an amazingly smooth adoption process with our sweet darling, Darla. The Bella Vista facility shows they truly care about their animals as you cannot see all of them at once but can take a look through the book and they will bring them out one by one. I really thought that was unique and special since it doesn’t rile up all the other dogs. So glad we came here and so thankful to be able to give Darla her forever home!!! We adopted our first dog from the shelter late last year and it was a great experience all around. They have a thorough application process to make sure that the animals go to a good home, but they did everything in their power to make the process move quickly once we met and fell in love with the dog.

She was given the name Prue at the shelter though we now call her Olive. She was a stray in the Bella Vista area, but thanks to her time at the shelter she now has great social skills and has made many canine friends. At her first vet visit, we were told that she is in great health and was cared for very well before we got her. I would highly recommend checking here if you are looking for a new addition to the family!

I have been there twice because people keep dropping cats off on my land. We'll both times they turned me away. So the cats that I tried to get help with were girls. Now they have 6 babies. I have called, emailed the people that they told me to go to and they do t answer their ways for me to get help.

I went to the BVAS on Sept 10th but when I got there they were already closed by 30 min. There were a couple of people working outside and asked if they could help. I told the lady what I was looking for and she described this little girl. She said she had an injury, she had been shot and that they opened the next day at 10a.m. I knew then I was coming back to get her.
She is a great kitty with big personality. She has her own room where under the bed is her safe place getaway. She's afraid of everything (who could blame her) but she is slowly feeling more comfortable and her appetite is great. It's been 11 days now, she trusts us and is inspecting a little more of her new home every day always knowing she can retreat to her room any time she wants.
Thank you BVAS for what you do! If you hadn't taken her in and to the vet to get the bullet out, I'm sure she wouldn't be here. Her name is Venus and we kept it that way!

Update on little Miss Venus, she is growing very fast and is a little smarty cat! Loves her cookie treats!
