“I had the pleasure of experiencing superb customer service at BDX. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly smile. Spencer was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure all my needs were addressed. He took the time to explain all my options and offered helpful recommendations without being pushy. It's clear that the BDX Team genuinely care about their customers and strive for excellence in every interaction. I left feeling valued and educated about all BDX has to offer, which is rare to find these days when apartment hunting. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to rent in the Sacramento area!"

We have been touring different apartments in the area and decided to stop by on a whim to see what was offered at BDX. We were greeted and helped by Spencer, who is undoubtedly one of the most phenomenal leasing agents we have ever worked with. He is attentive and knowledgeable, giving us many different options and solutions to our various concerns. He knows just about everything about the complex and helped us tour many different units that would work with our situation. I have had bad experiences with some other complexes, but Spencer has made our experience the best one that we have had. The units are beautifully designed with very modern finishes and upgrades. What you see if what you get. The amenities are absolutely luxurious! Definitely recommend BDX and Spencer!

Lease June 2022-June 2024
Although management’s response was deleted for some reason, I’ve attached a screenshot of their original reply.
Firstly, I had to hire an attorney due to disability discrimination and was eventually refunded. I have all the emails where BDX initially refused to refund me, and I can attach screenshots if needed. Secondly, there was NO notice given when the maintenance team came in. Thirdly, the security system is falsely advertised. If the security team was truly on-site, these break-ins would have never happened and could have been avoided.

Before managements response:
I’d love to share my experience here at BDX along with pictures.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at this apartment complex over the past two years. Despite renewing our lease with the expectation of improved service, we have encountered numerous issues that have left us feeling disillusioned. One recurring problem has been the lack of respect for tenant privacy, as maintenance personnel have entered apartments without proper notice.

As a person with a disability requiring a wheelchair, I was surprised to face unnecessary hurdles, such as being fined for placing it on my balcony. While I appreciate the existence of an elevator, I do not feel obligated to disclose details of my disability.

Furthermore, the unexpected charges for minor maintenance tasks, such as changing a lightbulb, were not outlined in my lease agreement. While I understand liability for damages caused by tenants, these additional fees were not clearly communicated.

Of significant concern is the lack of adequate security measures, evidenced by multiple incidents of car theft within the complex. Despite these serious breaches, there has been a noticeable absence of proactive measures or apologies from management. There is no 24/7 security and their cameras don’t even work. Yes crimes are everywhere but we should feel safe 24/7 if we pay that much rent.

In conclusion, my experience with this apartment complex has been disappointing and frustrating. I urge others to exercise caution and explore alternative housing options to avoid similar issues. Thank you.

Current resident here at BDX and while it is a bit more expensive than some places, you get what you pay for. The front office staff is amazing (probably the best I have ever personally engaged with) and quick to handle issues while the maintenance staff is friendly and helpful. Victoria is so easy to talk to and Jesse is always good for a laugh. Morgan loves when you ask to see his socks!

The staff here keep the grounds and buildings clean and are not afraid to be friendly with their residents. In fact, they have community events so we can all mingle with one another and last month they did a canned food drive to help the community. If we’re lucky, they offer dry brunch on Saturdays as well!

They’re super pet friendly, too, so much so that they have a dog washing station in one of the buildings and clean-up stations around the complex for potty time.

Cool game room and media room, awesome bbq area and heated pool! They even have a business center and a killer gym with space for yoga!

The complex is located in a cute little shopping center (with a Starbucks!) and near a cute park where they have a ton of events!

There are a few downsides that I could share, like residents not cleaning up after their pets and some tough rules, but overall the positives outweigh the negatives for me, so I’m going to keep it positive!

Thanks BDX staff!

BDX management with the exception of Jessie Harts has been less than helpful. I recently was in the process of transferring units and was told I was unable to get my $250 holding deposit refunded. After going through the whole application process, paying the holding and application fee, I was given the ring around from management. I was never given a clear and concise explanation. This unfortunately is not my first bad experience with the BDX management. From the horrible parking, constant alarms going off, delayed maintenance requests and unavailable and unhelpful staff has made my time here very frustrating.

Thanks to Jesse for all his help and for treating me respectfully.

I lived on the 3rd floor in building 1 in a studio apartment. The noise from neighbors' toilets flushing travels through the wall pipelines, making it sound like water is being spilled right next to your bed. You literally hear it where you lay your head down each night. It's extremely disturbing.

The neighbors are terrible. You can't even watch football with the volume up without being reported for noise. The walls are thin, and everyone can hear your business in the hallways. It's very awkward walking in the hallways as well, with people giving you judgmental looks as you walk by.

There’s no covered or assigned parking. If you come home late, expect to park far from your building.

The foot step noise from upstairs is incredibly loud, as if the floor is about to break. I've lived in cheaper apartments that weren't this loud.

The porch offers no privacy, especially in the studio where the neighbor can see directly onto your porch, causing issues between both of you and they can hear everything you’re doing.

The utility bill is exorbitantly high each month. You have no choice but to pay it since it's included with rent. They charge you for each flush, and if there are multiple residents, each flush is multiplied by the number of people on the lease.

When you plan to move out, they remove you from email notifications about events like free breakfast and locker notifications. This means packages may be left in the locker room without you knowing.

Security is a joke. They seem uneducated and incapable of understanding simple explanations. They are never around when needed and have not prevented any crimes, despite incidents occurring right in front of them. Like when one of the residents car was left on bricks.

Be careful about what you place on your porch. I left a bag for one night and got an email with a picture, charging me a fee for leaving it there by the next morning. Not even 24 hours.

If the electricity goes out, you're locked out of the building with no way to get in until it's back on, or someone comes down to open the door. The same goes for the elevator—you could be stuck in the dark.

The apartment is next to a park, and if you live on the park side, the landscapers will wake you up every morning with loud noise, which is especially bad if you work night shifts and need to sleep during the day.

There are frequent events at the park, and visitors often take up our parking spots. The apartment does nothing to stop this, making it difficult to park and get inside your apartment.

Good luck to future residence. Really make sure this is something you are okay with living for the next year or so. I have nothing bad to say about staff or maintenance. They’re just doing their jobs.

One of the best apartments I’ve stayed in. Management is tough but they ensure that the property is maintained & updated. Lots of rules but definitely worth it when living in luxury, I mean how else are things supposed to be kept nice? Love it here. Would recommend it to all my friends & family. Pricey place but when you don’t even have to take your own trash out, no gym membership needed cause the one onsite is open 24 hours. Saltwater pool & spa. Clubhouse & theater room! I mean, come on! Beautiful complex! Thanks BDX!

I am leasing this as a a contractor, it's very close to my office and team members. The grounds are kept very well, lots of options, the pool area in my building is nice. The only negative for me is my upstairs neighbors. My apartment has been used by two other former team members and I was warned about the neighbor upstairs. It's a lady and several kids and during the day it's like an in-door bowling alley with people with roller skates and pogo sticks. From one side of the apartment to the other. One team member actually visited her during her time here and asked if they could settle down a bit and her response was "i can't make them sit down."
I have complained through my leasing company and was told to attempt to capture some of the disturbance on video/audio. I was successful in doing so and it was forwarded to on-site management but they advised that the upstairs folks sent a complaint because I tapped on my ceiling. Me tapping on the ceiling was due to their loud running/stomping but I guess that part does not matter. After my complaint, the stomps and bangs became louder and harder. I am relieved when they leave the house for an outing. Surprisingly, she does somehow get them quieted down in time for our 10pm community quiet time. But first thing in the morning, 7am(ish) they are at it again in full force.

I work remotely sometimes during the week and being able to peacefully get through a work day would be great!

Great building and ground designs, awesome community, walkable community. The majority of the folks I have met, lovely but these upstairs neighbors are making me re-think heading back up the street to start earning more Hilton points. Peace at "home" is a lovely thing.

Check BDX out but keep your fingerscrossed that you don't get disrespectful neighbors.

Edit:
BDX management responded but the neighbor's kid is running around in circles above me as I type this....but it doesn't matter because it's all happening before quiet time. It's enough to make you go into the office versus work from home. Must be nice to have their privilege.
