This place should not be classed as a hotel! We unfortunately arrived late due to bus delays only to find it is one person per room - read the small (miniature) print! Very expensive for small dirty room. Showers and toilets are a disgrace. Some tenants are alarming, neighbour talked to himself all night - frightening to be honest. The man checking us in took 40 minutes to do so, at 2am this was exhausting! Then demanded $50 security deposit, for the then 6 hours we had left to stay there! Awful, unsafe, dirty and expensive. Stayed in The Excalibur in Vegas for half the price which was lovely! AVOID!!!!!!

I paid $50 a night for a decent priced room in the middle of San Francisco. I'm not complaining. The price is fair for what you get. You're staying in one of the most expensive cities in the United States. Hotels per night average around $140.||||Also, most of these reviews are people who did not read about this place before booking. It's more of a goshiwon (if you've not heard of those look them up) or comparable to a hostel. They rent out rooms and past them off as a hotel by renting them per night. It's one person per room, you have to check in from 9 AM - 5 PM (if not you have to make an appointment with the night manager), and there is a $50 cash deposit due upon arrival.||||There's hostels that have beds in dorm rooms fitting four people for only $10 cheaper. ||||You get a private room, your own tv, fridge, and microwave. There's also a small closet to hang your clothes.||||If you decide to book this hotel, make sure to bring your own soap, shampoo, and towel.||||The reason I rated this as poor was because of the smell in the hallway. It was unpleasant.||||Also, some weird guy was washing his clothes in the shared bathrooms when I was trying to take a shower and kept knocking on the door to get his clothes. WHAT THE HELL! lol

Stayed for 2 nights during a work trip in San Francisco, booked at last minute and wanted to stay in Financial District which is why I chose it. The location of the hotel is great, very close to the Financial District and Embarcadero and was fine for a solo traveller for couple of nights who just needed a bed for a reasonable price.||Stayed in a single room which has a single bed, sink, small fridge and microwave. They supply a towel, hand-towel and toilet roll. Room was adequate, but overall not a very nice place, very musty and encountered some pretty questionable clientele (previous reviews will concur) as they offer weekly rates felt like people staying long term. Bathrooms are shared and generally were clean. Also overlooking a school so very noisy throughout the day.||Would advise booking a more reputable hostel e.g. Green Tortoise or a more expensive hotel.

For the price and location, especially given that this is San Francisco, I thought it was pretty good. The rooms were small, but given I was only visiting, it was all I needed. The bathrooms were clean, as was the room. The only thing I'd say that needed improving was the reception/ their procedures for checking in and out took longer than they should have. That and one of the reception staff members seemed particularly clueless and insisted that I sign in as a guest when I was heading to my own room. Outside of that, I had a positive experience staying there.

wasted my $ booking at this place! as soon as I struggled with my bags up all the stairs I had to just turn right back around and check out because the place was so hot and stank like a male urinal. The rooms are teeny! just big enough for the bed but worst of all was the heat. There was a window but that just let in more heat and spread the stink of piss thru the whole floor. I can't see how anyone could stay here or fall asleep in those conditions. Just gross!
