Apple's Riverhouse B & B - Redding, California

Just had a lovely stay at Connie and Rick Apple's Riverhouse Bed and Breakfast.

We stayed in the West Room which offered an en-suite bathroom with a large tub and shower, two comfortable sitting chairs, and a deck overlooking the backyard and trees beyond. The bed was very comfortable and quiet location made for a very restful night.

Breakfast was basic fare but ample and tasty. Great way to get us on the road. Coffee to go was greatly appreciated too.

Both Connie and Rick were welcoming and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay and certainly would stay here again whether we were traveling through or staying in the area for several days.

We had such a great time and loved the clean home and tasteful decor. It's even more beautiful than the photos. All three rooms were beautiful and the beds were super comfortable. It was very nice to each have a private bathroom in our rooms. Each room also had a balcony and the fountains and water fall below sounded so peaceful in the evenings. The hosts were super friendly and left us lots of yummy options in addition to some delicious wine. I highly recommend this home and will definitely stay again. Stayed here one night as we were passing through the area on a road trip. Very welcoming and relaxing experience. Both Rick and Connie made us feel welcome and offered several recommendations for dining and activities in the area. ||||Our room was specious, clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed was comfortable. Had we stayed longer I think the inviting chairs, little fireplace, and deck would have all been most enjoyable. We did take the opportunity to unwind from a long drive in the backyard which was very pleasant.||||There is easy access to the walking path along the river.

My wife & I visit Redding occasionally, staying in standard hotels, but always wishing for something better. We found it in the Apple's River House B&B. Ric & Connie Apple have created an oasis of privacy in a residential neighborhood. They opened their home to us, while allowing us as much privacy (or, offering as much socializing) as we preferred. Our room was very clean, comfortable, well-appointed, quiet, and all we could have hoped for. A feeder footpath to the Sacramento River Trail waited just outside the door! The backyard provides several seating spots under shade trees, with the sound of falling water from several fountains. Breakfast was great. Nothing was not great. And I'm not easy to please when it comes to sleeping away from home.

Really enjoyed our 2 nights here. A great base to explore the wider area including Lassen Volcanic National Park or strolling along the Riverwalk adjacent to the property. Super comfy bed - best sleep of our entire holiday. Such welcoming, fun hosts! Enjoyed chatting at wine o'clock plus received perfect tips for dinner and places to visit. Breakfast was beyond expectations - so much choice! Highly recommend this accommodation and would love to return one day.

If you're looking for gorgeous accommodations, combined with warm, generous and charming hosts, look no further! From the start, Ric and Connie made sure we felt completely at home and at ease. They've perfected the art of being graciously accommodating and engaging while still respecting your space and privacy. We had an absolutely wonderful time, and they made a good trip a great one! I highly recommend Apple's River House to anyone staying in Redding!

Connie and Ric were wonderful hosts in the 3 room B&B.|All rooms were lovely and as pictured with all amenities needed.|The home was one of the few B&Bs in a quiet neighborhood and located by the walking path along the river. In addition to a cozy room and home, they have a beautiful outdoor area which included a firepit. When we returned from a late dinner, Ric had the firepit set up for us and we were able to enjoy the late night by the fire sipping the lovely wine they provided.|In the morning, Connie had a wonderful full breakfast waiting for us. She had inquired the night before if we had any special needs or issues to make sure the breakfast met our needs.||In addition to all the above, we most enjoyed their company. We talked for quite some time with them on a full range of subjects. We thoroughly enjoyed them and their home and look forward to returning as we pass through Redding in the future.|

Connie and Richard really make you feel at home. This is the most accommodating B&B I've ever stayed in and you can tell Connie and Richard work hard to make your stay enjoyable. You cannot go wrong with this B&B. ||||Both were very helpful in suggesting places to eat, things to do and places to go. I found we had a lot in common with our love of the outdoors. It's very centrally located to the main part of Redding and you can be anywhere in the town within minutes. ||||Richard apparently loves working in the yard. Their garden area is quite relaxing and beautiful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and relaxing. To be honest, they were such great hosts, you didn't want to leave the B&B and go anywhere - just stay and hang out and enjoy the place.
