Booked online the day before arrival
Best price was on their website.
Everything was fine.
The room is updated and a good size. No view, but I wouldn't bother to pay more for the oceanside room.
Street noise was not an issue.
Small grab and go breakfast, which was adequate.
Only quirky thing was the check-in kiosk, which we were asked to use, despite an employee behind the desk. We asked to deal with the employee instead.
We did interact with kiosk person when looking for a place to eat (no one was behind the desk at that moment), and that kiosk person was friendly and helpful. Although I found the interaction quite different,
I would recommend. ?

This is the first inn as you come into Crescent City, right on highway 101, so very easy to get to! I initially picked them as the room pricing was so budget friendly for the length of my stay and I saw on the gallery the rooms looked super clean and modern. This was proved right when I got to my room, as my stay was during a storm it was great to have a hot shower where the power only went out a couple times but it got kicked back on (expected at least once during a crazy storm). I felt safe during my stay and the front desk is 24/7. If there's no one at the desk there is a kiosk so when you enter someone will pop up on the screen announcing themselves asking what your needs are. The room was quite spacious and I'd highly recommend this inn and would return!

The first thing that was strange about our experience was when the person called to confirm the room insisted on speaking with my (male) partner when I was the one who made the reservation and they had called my phone. The rooms are clean and mostly adequate for a budget motel. One issue I had with the room is the beds did not have fitted sheets and the flat sheet was basically fully removed by morning and I was directly on the mattress. We were really turned off by the virtual person at check in. And then in the morning when we went to check out there was an actual person there but still we were directed to the screen. Seems really impersonal and somewhat of a safety issue to not have someone physically present at night. They provided “breakfast” but honestly I’m not sure why they bothered as it was just chewy bars and sad little muffins.

We had an ocean view room but the road beside does get some traffic so there was a little road noise. The check in procedure is very different with a remote worker you speak to via a screen. While different, I had no issue with it as I understand good, solid workers are hard to come by. They offered a grab and go breakfast as well (fruit, granola bars and coffee/tea). The room was plenty big enough for a pack n play and to move around. We appreciated the mini fridge as well. There are some eateries nearby, but check the hours because most were closed when we came through. For the last minute booking and location, it was the place to book in my opinion.
