My siblings and I chose ARC from a recommended list leaving Mercy San Juan Hospital. Our mom spent three weeks here recovering from sepsis. We were very pleased with the level of care and friendliness of all staff. Started off in a double room, which was just fine, but then transferred to a single and that was extremely nice and perfect for our family visits. We highly recommend working with Mary in Social Services if you need anything! She was an invaluable help to as we looked for a senior living place for our mom as our final step. We would not hesitate to use ARC again!

My dad recently stayed at ARC for 3 months for PT/OT. We chose ARC because they provide in house dialysis which made it so convenient for my dad. Everyone in this facility from Admin staff, nurses and CNA were very helpful, friendly and comforting. From day one, they made my dad feel at home. The nurses were so compassionate and caring when it comes to patient care. CNAs made sure my dad was doing good and didn't need anything. Physical Therapy did an amazing job with my dad. My dad was able to get his strength and balance back from a bad fall. Now he's able to walk with a walker. They treated him like a family. This place is very clean that included healthy meals, a lot of indoor activities for patients.

This was our first time experiencing with a rehab center they made it a very easy and a good experience. My family and I would like to say THANK YOU for taking good care of my dad while he was there. I truly appreciate each and everyone of you.

I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nursing home or rehab.

It’s all about the staff as far as we’re concerned. The CNA’s are consistently very good and the best part of the place. The maintenance staff has been quite helpful and therapy has been great. The food has been very decent so far…and it arrives hot for the most part. Having been a consultant in many rehab facilities, I do know how bad some can be. My mom has been very happy here.

I spent 31 days in this facility other than a couple of graveyard shifts that let me down! This facility and over all care are Amazing the really catered to my need, even motivating me in the areas of occupational & physical therapy also the many interacting with other house guest doing things like enjoying musician's brought in from the outside, the many games ,arts and crafts and my 2 favorites balloon volly & bingo also the hygiene practice is also a fantastic experience in the shower part of the facility was comfortable, efficient and clean last but not least the food came 3 times a day they serve the balance of good health to there patient I even requested 2 bowls of oatmeal and I got it ! The staff are the true heroes. In my case, they kept my needs taken care of, and then some
If and when I need this kind of care, I shall return, I'm a satisfied patient. What more could you ask for!

My mom stayed here for 3 weeks. I have been through this type of services three different times with three different family members. American River has them beat. But if you want to know what I thought was horrible, scroll to the bottom.

When my mom was informed that she had to be transferred to a facility, we got a list of centers with reviews. We did our own homework and visited the facilities, read the reviews, and selected American River Center.

The staff was wonderful. Mary, the case worker covered a lot of details - even traumatic issues my mom might have had and they want to take into consideration so not to trigger her.

The place is kept well clean. I see a lot of the unsung heroes cleaning up the main halls and patients' rooms.

I feel that the nurses did a great job of checking on my mom, making sure she got her regular medication and pain meds when needed. Alex was her (and her roommate's) favorite!

The meals were decent. While I didn't get to taste them, most looked fabulous. Others looked ok.

Therapy was wonderful. I only got to meet Kelley and he was very helpful.

Check out was top-notch. Mary and her partner made sure everything was in place so that my mom could go home and be safe (i.e., medical equipment and medications). It made the transition easy for my mom and me. I didn't have to run around gathering the items.

Now if I have to complain about one thing (because no one or place is perfect), it would have to be the TV remote. A hundred buttons and the two main buttons (volume and channel) are the two tiniest buttons on the remote.

Hopefully you don't have to use the services of a rehab/nursing facility. But if you do, I would recommend American River.

I have been through this three other times and I did not write a review. I follow the "Bambi/Thumper" rule: If you can't say anything nice, don't say nothing at all.

Incredibly kind and attentive staffs whom truly treats residents like family. The facility is always clean and well-maintained.
The building feels very modern and has nice atmosphere when you enter the facility. Nurses and other staffs are friendly, kind and helpful. The area is great as well but one complain was parking is abit difficult as theres very little space for visitors to park but other than that good place to place families in.
