Unbeknownst to us, we were their last guests under their current ownership. It was no longer a Bed and Breakfast; there was no one to greet us or let us in; the room was not as clean as it should be (I had to search the storage closets for mirror cleaner and there were spots on the duvet); there were no instructions on how to make ice or turn on air conditioner; and the lights were completely out when returned so it was very dark and distressing. Overall, I could tell that at one time, this was a lovely venue with wonderful staff. However, the last owner made a surprise appearance just as we were leaving and was completely indifferent to our concerns. I would recommend that you check in with the owners before making any reservations to stay at the Abineau Lodge. I hope that the new owners are more conscientious about customer service.

Over priced and slow serve. I was sadly disappointed by my experience today. We went for the Sunday brunch, it's $14.95 for a large plate and $10.95 for a small plate. You can only go through the food line once or you can pay an additional $4 for a second visit to the buffet. A lot of the food was low or gone and it took a long time for the food to be replaced/restocked. Juices and coffee are included in the cost, espesso and alcoholic beverages are extra. The coffee was undrinkable, it was quite terrible. They had a nice spread of juices and a good variety on the buffet.

You walk into a beautiful and true "winter cabin" BnB. You're welcomed with kindness by the two BnB hosts. They showed us to our room, where we stayed in a queen size bedroom with a heated fireplace. The room was clean and cozy. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the view looking out into the forest was beautiful. We played chess in the upstairs game room/breakfast room. In the morning, we decided to get the free breakfast upstairs. It is a 'serve yourself' style, which consists of cereal, oatmeal, homemade pastries, coffee, and hot chocolate. We brought some of our own food, which the hosts let us store in their mini fridge, so it wasnt a big deal. The homemade pastries were tasty and so was the high quality hot chocolate. We took our food out onto the patio deck, where you're surrounded by views of snow and trees. Overall, we would stay again and would recommend to others.

7 months ago I contacted this establishment in reference of setting up my wedding, wedding wire had them on their website. When I called I was given different prices (higher) and even though I was still interested because of the scenery of the place. After calling multiple times for 3 weeks straight, I didn't get a response and then when I did I was tugged around for a week so I choose a different venue. I realize I didn't write a review on Google, since the owner is disputing my review on wedding wire and will probably succeed to getting it taken down because protocol for that website is I had to be a paid customer in order to write a review. But it's my amendment right to voice my opinion so others have knowledge of expectations

Wendy is so nice! A favorite place for me and my special lady! Good wine! Far and close enough to the city. We'll be here as much as we can.
