My recent stay was wonderful, the rooms have been renovated and included lovely linens. The warmth that greets you when you arrive is outstanding, with the bar and restaurant located in the same building it makes your stay convenient and comfy. The service was great and you might feel like part of the family. I attended a birthday party that was held in the downstairs meeting room. Over all it was an enjoyable stay and I will be back in the spring or summer to enjoy all the small town offers.

Amazing Hotel and Restaurant. Family operated and it shows in the quality and volume of their dishes. We were greeted with smiles and joy like we were family. It was our first time and definitely won't be our last. We've been looking for other food options in our area and we've found a new winner to bring our friends too

Since the newest owners took over the food has been great. So good to see good food back at the ledger. Bar had a great diverse selection of beers on tap. Staff was friendly. We had the ledger burger and fries, patty melt with garlic fries and fried pickles; all great! Best clam shower in the area!

So... We arrived around 1:15pm.
There was NOBODY in the hotel. It was completely locked up and dark.
Called the hotel, no answer, left message no call back. We had to go next door business to get help. The business owner had to let us in.

The Room had no...
• waste basket,
• kleenex,
• bedside tables, lamps
• phone
• No switch or remote to turn on the ceiling fan / light
Absolutely No coffee in the bar/restaurant at anytime and it didn't open until 4pm.
Room door gets stuck, difficult to open, close or even lock.

The Bathroom door didn't lock or close all the way.
Floors were uneven, and I slipped .. almost fell.
In order to go onto the balcony you had to literally climb out through the window.
There was only one electrical plug in the entire room.
Ceiling chandelier only had one tiny bulb working so the room was dim.

No phone of course ..so there was no way to contact anyone and the hotel number went directly to voicemail.
No one to check us in Or out, and NO instructions, rules, check-in / check out, anywhere in the room or hotel.

All but 1 surrounding business was closed the entire day, which was Thursday btw .
Absolutely not ADA compliant.

Positive...
The bar/restaurant finally opened at 4pm.
The local people were wonderful.

Wow what a nice surprise. My friend knew of h the is restaurant but has new owners and they have really outdone themselves. The restaurant was built in 1851 and has all the same wood stained glass and furniture. The real winner is the food. The service and business is run by the owners and it shows because they care about you. The new chef made us some burgers that were out of this world full of flavor fresh veggies great fries and so fresh. Highly recommend

Didn’t know this hidden gem existed. Vintage venue, amazing service, staff was awesome. Food was amazing, hats off to the cook! A must visit for a drink or two enjoy some food. A must go back for me!

Hidden gem in a small town

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a wonderful restaurant in a small town. The food was delicious, the people were lovely, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself was charming and well-decorated.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was delightful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience in a small town.
