They stole my money from the deposit, saying that I didn't pay for the room ( I paid it in cash) n wanted to take it from the deposit. Funny thing I have the recipe for the room n the deposit n they gived me exchange for it. And they made me wait half n hour to checkout mean while they check the room, cuz I could steal from them.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was a little dated and needed some minor cosmetic repairs but that's not really that big of a deal. Nothing a quick caulk job and paint wouldn't fix. We enjoyed the jacuzzi in our room. It was definitely from the 80s but was very fun to have in the room. The reviews made the town/area seem sketchy but after staying i don't feel that way. Mabye I would go and camp in the redwoods next time but that's another story. Overall it was a good experience. And every single staff member I talked to (front desk, cleaning etc) was so friendly and kind. Do a little cosmetic work on the room and I would have given 5 stars. Also they were very dog friendly, unlike a few other hotels in town that tried to charge us a $50 pet fee per dog ( almost the price of a room there) they only asked for $15 for both here

This was our second time staying at Bayview. And once again it was not a disappointment. The pet friendly room we stayed in was very clean and did not smell of past pets. Beds are very comfortable. They should be proud of their housekeeping staff because they are doing a great job. Kathy at the front desk was absolutely wonderful also. Thank You Again Bayview for the awesome stay.

The room was clean, quiet, and smoke free. Rooms have been updated, including a mini fridge, pod style coffee maker, and a microwave. Small signs of construction let me know it's a work in progress. Our room was on the 2nd story and did not have a balcony, but the one next door did, and it looked perfect for morning coffee. Our view was of the lighthouse and some of the bay and harbor. It was not unobstructed, but the description never led me to believe that. Staff was very helpful and kind, Front Desk staff assisted with directions and information. Coffee, tea, and other items were available for guests. We will definitely stay there again.

Our stay was disastrous from the start. Booking I asked 2x if the room would fit 5 people. Both times I was assured it would. Show up, there are only 2 queen beds. When I asked for a rollaway they said they didn't have any. We ended up purchasing an air mattress and sleeping bag.

The bathroom had large clumps of black hair everywhere. We cleaned it up. The rooms smell musty. Must leave the a/c or window open to clear it up and keep the smell at bay. An old dirty shirt was left behind the door on the hook and a used pillow case was left on a nightstand.

We stayed 5 days. For the first 2 days house keeping didn't come in to refresh the towels. We didn't say anything , thinking it was just an oversight. (Must have a sign on the door requesting, which we always had the sign up) The 3rd day I called the front desk to request it. The nice receptionist came with a garbage bag and dumped the garbage. She also opened the laundry shoot for us to drop the used towels. She assured they'd be in the next day. They did not come. Finally the last night I talked to the manager. He couldn't have cared less. Very indifferent. After multiple requests room service finally did come in the last day we were there.
It is a great location for Redwood National Park, but I would try finding a better lodging situation.
