Yes, I'm giving the "Old Turner Inn" 5 stars because it was an amazing experience that I had with my family. My Dad planned this trip 2 years ago to get our family together for a vacation together. This place met all our expectations and beyond. Our hosts, Ashley and Dennis were wonderful! It was better than staying in a hotel. We all had the opportunity to relax after a day in town and could everything we wanted at our leisure. We had morning coffee or tea in the front room together before heading out for the day. We came back to the house whenever we felt the need. The rooms were so comfortable and everything was provided for us. I loved that there was toiletries in the bathroom. I didn't have to use my shampoo, soap, etc. from my bag. Truly amazing stay! I highly recommend it for any family or groups. Thank you again!

We planned a girls trip to Catalina Island and we are so happy we chose to stay at The Old Turner Inn. Our hostess, Kathleen was amazing! The rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated with period antiques and a working fireplace. Each room had a private bathroom. Our rooms had separate sleeping porches with daybeds and comfortably slept 3. Downstairs was a lovely living room and enclosed front porch. The Inn is centrally located and an easy walk from the boat landing and all the local shops and restaurants.
We will definitely be back!

Our preferred lodging is typically bed and breakfasts. The Old Turner Inn did not disappoint and was right there with some of the nicest places we have stayed. I had a few questions when I made our reservation and Kathleen was very helpful. I could sense her sincerity and commitment to assist us with that one phone call. She sent written information that include information about Avalon, how to access things to do and restaurant information. The inn is located 800 yds from the ferry terminal (an easy 8 minute walk) and is away from the hustle and noise of the area on the water. It’s well located within easy walking distance from any place we wanted to go. Kathleen offered to drive us in her golf cart but it wasn’t necessary. The Inn is filled with history and pictures of Kathleen’s family are evident in the sitting room. The inn was immaculately clean and our room very comfortable. Appetizers were served each night. In addition to the perfect location and excellent hostess, the breakfast was a highlight and a great start to a full day of exploring Catalina.

Kathleen is a welcoming hostess who runs a lovely B & B. The style is Victorian but it has full amenities and a great location. Her breakfasts are delicious and ample. Fresh fruit, home cooked dishes and good coffee with a nice tea selection. There is a lovely appetizer hour in the later afternoon with a choice of wines. The rooms are cleaned each day. Very pleased and will return again.

The Old Turner Inn was a beautiful, inviting place to stay! This was our first trip to Catalina and it won't be our last. Kathleen was so welcoming to us and our baby and gave great recommendations for restaurants and things to do around the town. We loved staying here and getting the opportunity to mingle with other guests in the common room during appetizer hour and breakfast. Kathleen made an amazing breakfast spread--the bread pudding and homemade granola were my favorites! We highly recommend The Old Turner Inn to anyone coming to Catalina!

A lovely B&B with a great location. It is located just 1-1/2 blocks from the harbor and within a fairly easy walk from the ferry terminal. Kathleen, the owner and host, could not have been more pleasant and accomodating. We stayed in the Queen Suite so we had a seating area with enabled us to have cocktails with friends who were attending the same wedding as us. The other guests at the Inn were also very nice.

I was checking reviews to find a nice hotel for a special anniversary trip to Catalina Island (we lived and were married here 40 years ago) that wouldn't be too expensive and The Old Turner Inn was a wonderful find! Our three- day stay was extremely enjoyable. Food served at the morning breakfasts and the light appetizers at 5:00 varied every day, with a choice of red or white wine being a nice surprise. The small carafe of sherry in our room each afternoon was also added a touch of sophistication. ||We were a little nervous about how we would enjoy our first stay in a Bed & Breakfast, thinking we might like to keep to ourselves, but we thoroughly enjoyed visiting with the other guests who arrived and departed during our stay. Visiting with the owner and hearing stories of his family's life on the island is something we enjoyed and probably would not have had at a regular hotel.||The Old Turner Inn is for sale and I have no doubt the current owners will maintain the level of service and attention to detail that has earned them and "Excellent" rating on TripAdvisor. My sincere hope is that new owners will be found to carry on the legacy so we can return here on future visits to the island.

The Old Turner Inn was amazing. My wife and I liked the idea of staying at a classic bed and breakfast and this place exceeded all of our expectations. You can find nice rooms and amenities anywhere if you pay enough, but what really sets the Old Turner Inn apart is the service. Kathleen was absolutely wonderful and made the experience as great as it was. She cooks a brilliant breakfast and we couldn't leave without first buying some of her homemade granola. There are a million great reasons why so many reviewers love this B&B and I'm glad to have experienced it for myself. If we return to Catalina in the future there is no question that we will be staying at the Old Turner Inn again.
