Motel 6 - Lakeside, Arizona

Quiet and pretty clean. No breakfast, Lobby coffee was pretty bad- its an automatic system, but Shell/Giant a couple of buildings down was Very good. Bed was comfortable. A/C was comfortable, and by leaving it on fan, was a nice hummmm... Refrigerator with mini freezer worked just fine. Need to bring your own soap, the bars are tiny. Towels were small (like most motels). Family has stayed here many times over the last 10 years- even before it was Motel 6.

Checked in for one night last weekend. Room looked and smelled clean when I got into the room but I was woken up in the middle of the night by some kind of bug bites and when I woke up in the morning I had over 2 dozen bug bites of some kind. Not completely sure but I am suspecting bed bugs based on an internet search. I wanted to talk to someone with the hotel that morning but no one would come to the front desk, even after I rang the bell several times. I finally left a note on the keycard folder and deposited my keycard in the drop box. The hotel attempted to call me a couple of times that afternoon and when I called them back they said they were calling about something they thought I left in the room and did not mention anything about the bug problem note that I left them. I then spoke to the manager about the bug bites and he stated they would try and find the bugs that bit me and if they found them they would refund my bill for the stay. I informed him that I had pics of the bites if he needed proof and he said that would not be necessary and reiterated that they would take a look and if bugs were found they would refund my charges. I have not heard anything from them since and no refund to this day.

All in all, I would be wary of staying here and I personally will not stay with this Motel 6 again.

The experience was fine. Disappointed that there is no coffee in the rooms. There is free coffee in the lobby. Furniture and tv is dated, but the room and bath were clean. Good value for the cost of the room.

Great room for the price. The staff was also very friendly and they were able to refund me my first night since I got stuck in Payson due to road closures.

Love this Motel 6. Have stayed here even back when it was the Bear Mountain Inn. They have great rates. Rooms are big, beds are comfy, and microwave and fridge are a welcome addition! The rooms with fireplaces are cozy. Ok window air conditioner is not optimal, and no flat panel TV... but for these rates... who cares. Staff is friendly and the location right down the block from the movie theaters and the library is perfect. I can even bicycle down to Safeway from here if my husband goes out golfing. Many thanks to you Motel 6 for the refund of unused nights when we learned my elderly dad had broken his hip and we had to leave early. He is doing ok by the way.
