We spent one night in Winslow and enjoyed it much more than we expected, sine Winslow seems to be a small quiet town. We stayed at the Violet Rose, which was a nice treat. Margie, the proprietor, was delightful. She was very knowledgeable about the area and its history. The accommodation was impeccably clean and the linens were fantastic! The house is rich in history and full of wonderful antiques. It is decorated in Victorian style, not a common find in the Southwest. |Breakfast was served promptly at 8:00 and was delicious! An egg dish with toast and potatoes, plus fresh raspberries! |Margie also gave us a recommendation for dinner at The Turquoise Room, which we we're grateful for - delicious!

The Violet Rose is beautifully furnished, lovingly cared for, and a perfect place to stay in Winslow. We were surprised and delighted to learn that the entire ground floor (sans kitchen) was ours. The historic home has the character and feel of another age, yet modern amenities, and best - a bed that guarantees a great night's sleep. Margie is a wonderful host who went out of her way to be helpful. I took her up on her suggestion for a soothing bubble bath soak in the clawfoot tub - just what I needed after a nine hour drive. Everything we could possibly need was provided: items for the bath, grooming, and a lovely set-up of hot tea, coffee, cookies & chocolates were waiting for us when we arrived. Breakfast was delicious & served at the time we requested. If we ever find ourselves in Winslow again, we will be staying at the Violet Rose. We loved it!

Myself and my husband and two boys (20 and 16) stayed here during a cross country road trip with lots of driving. It was so comfortable and she gives the whole bottom floor to the guests! We could spread out and really relax. Margie and her family are warm, welcoming, and kind. The space is beautiful and unique and artistic. The breakfast was delicious and the dining room is full of vintage charm. We would recommend the lovely Violet Rose B& B to anyone.

The Violet Rose B&B is an absolute treasure. Marjorie, the owner was so welcoming and friendly. She went above and beyond to prepared us delicious breakfast's, along with leaving us tea and a scrumptious snack in the evenings upon our return to her home. Her Violet Rose B&B is one of the most comforting places I've stayed. Feels like you are taking a trip to the Victorian era and we loved it. Everything was pristine and so beautiful. Loved the swing but didn't have a lot of time to sit and relax. We stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed for another. Thank you for your extraordinary hospitality. I would love to stay at the Violet Rose B&B again. The proprietor is a delightful and kind lady and we met her son briefly and he was friendly too. It was just like they'd known us all our lives. Thank you for the wonderful memory.

Margie is a wonderful host who makes you feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. She has coffee, chocolates, snacks waiting on the table for you. You'll have the entire downstairs including a dining room, parlor, bedroom and bath for your use. The house is in a quiet neighborhood convenient to "standing on the corner" and dinner establishments. The next morning, at a time convenient for you, she prepares a delicious breakfast and then leaves you to enjoy it. Violet Rose is one of the best, if not the best B and B I've had the pleasure of supporting. I travel through Winslow about twice a year and this is sure to be my lodging each time in the future.

My husband and I stayed at Violet's B&B April 28-April 30, 2017. What a wonderful experience! I was surprised when I got there to learn we didn't just have a room but an entire floor. We had so much space to relax! The space was filled with antiques and lovely decorative items. There is a wood-pellet stove and a amazing bathtub. I think it is the perfect run away spot! From there we traveled to the Painted Desert, Petrified Forest and the Meteor Crater. Winslow is a small town so don't go there expecting a lot of action. It is a wonderful place if you want peace and quiet. The food and snacks were so delicious!

We didn't expect to get so much space - most of the main floor! The rooms are full of vintage decor and lots of memorabilia and collectables - a bit quirky but fun. Everything is clean and comfortable. Margy, the owner, is lovely, and I 'specially liked her because she is one of the town's cat rescuers. No cats in this part of the house but we were greeted with cats in the yard. She was very willing to do early breakfast for us as we had to leave around 7:30 am.

We stayed at the Violet Rose B&B on 9/18/2018 and arrived late (7:30pm) due to our other travels. The owner was accommodating in checking us in at this late time which we appreciated. We had the entire living area of the house, not including the kitchen and owners private quarters but it did include the dining area and the parlor room in addition to the bedroom and bathroom. The bed was comfortable and we slept well and the place was generally clean. The breakfast was good and the owner did meet our request for a carafe of coffee earlier than when she was planning on serving breakfast.||||We did come across at least 2 spiders, one was crawling on the toilet seat and the other on the floor in the dining area. We did not mention this to the owner only because it wasn't a big issue at the time, however after being reprimanded by the owner in the morning about using the window air conditioner in the dining area and our own box fan in the bedroom (we sleep with one) which she said caused her electrical circuits to overload we feel that her attitude is worth mentioning. ||||At no prior time was there any mention of electrical device restrictions. And therefore we felt that our comfort to the owner was an inconvenience and she rudely impressed on us that we should have known better being the home is 130 years old. It should be up to the owner, if they are going to open up their property to the public, that they meet all necessary codes. In our opinion, this property was more like an AirBnB than a B&B.||||||We would not rent this property in the future.
