GREAT WEEKEND!!! Weather was great and the park was perfect. Easy to get into your campsite, sites are level, and the staff called to let us know when our spot was open and the reservation sign would be there and we could skip the office check in… huge plus. Since our last visit here WI-FI has been added and we could watch football all weekend. We will be back soon.

This State Park is a nice park that caters mostly to fisherman. But we stayed in a cabin with our family and enjoyed it immensely (minus the maintenance staff that invaded unannounced a few hours before we were going to check out. We were pushed to check out early because of this, but the other staff were very apologetic.) The cabins are VERY nice though, and the view of the water out the entire back side makes it feel as though the cabins are in the water. We also enjoyed the ferry/tugboat exhibit and the animal information inside the visitor's center. All of the staff in the visitor's center were some of the nicest we have met in the many AR state parks we have visited.

Wow! Lots of little things make a BIG impact.
A phone call to tell me my campsite is ready and I can go straight there, no need to check in
WiFi in a state park is something I have never seen (in 5 years of camping) and 30mbs is good enough to stream a Netflix movie.
Bathrooms are very clean and fresh.
Campsites are level and full hookup
Nice playground and volley ball court.
All in all, first class

Very cool state park, although small. 5 nice 2nd story cabins as you enter the park. Small exhibits in the visitors center. Theres a small marina. The old ferry was really interesting to walk on and check it out. The RV camping sites have about half of them overlooking the water. Very nice playground. Seems like a nice place for families with kids.

Giving this place 5 stars and we didn't even stay there, just visited. Will be planning a trip to one of the campsites soon. When it's cooler weather or maybe just get one of the cabins.
Visitors center was really nice with friendly/helpful staff. The park itself doesn't seem very big, but it's laid out well and very clean. River access looks very appealing for fishing.
Very impressed with the place. Obviously, I'm writing a review without ever staying here.

This is our 3rd or 4th time to visit Moro Bay State Park in the past 7 years and we love it! We use the RV park. The sites are paved, fairly level, have full hook ups, a fire ring, sturdy metal picnic tables, a tent area, a lantern pole, and are nicely placed so you have plenty of room. They are on the Ouachita River. There is an air conditioned bath house if you need it. Nice easy walking trails are available along with a kids playground, volleyball net, boat, kayak, and bike rentals. You will love it! Verizon cell service is great. AT&T service is horrible.

The park is cute enough, but was flooded (14 ft above normal). We are kayakers, but didn't really want to get out on the flooded waters for safety reasons. We are also hikers, but there's not much of that to do in southern Arkansas, compared to Central and North Arkansas. We are also campers, but with the flooded site we chose to keep heading north before finding a camping spot for the night. That being said, the ranger at the visitor center was so incredibly nice. We had a great conversation with him about the park. Maybe we can visit it again once the waters go down.
