Oh Thank Goodness! This building is now DOUBLE occupancy rooms! I was one of the Head Residents the FIRST year this building went "co-ed" = 400 guys on the Arizona side, 400 ladies on the Sonora side - that's right, 800 students packed FOUR to a room! It had been an all-girls hall up to then, and the female staff didn't know what hit them, they weren't used to 18 year old boys (I used to define as 12 year olds who had put on 60 pounds!). Billable damages that first year (means we found out who did it) women's side = $2,100 ... the boys' side = $37,000 (yep!) Wow... my last year of EIGHT spent in the dorm system, 1978-1985...... A close-nit staff though = one of the girls working as a 'Page', or front-desk phone-operator/desk greeter was assaulted (polite language there) by her date in her dorm room. I encountered her the next morning as I was making rounds/opening the sun-deck, and I didn't pick up on the signals when she saw me in the hallway and asked if it okay if she showered. Her parents withdrew her from school, and I learned the story after-the-fact. They decided the best for her was to not press charges, though the staff, and myself were 100% behind her and they in any support we could have given. Her dorm 'brothers' amongst the Resident Assistant staff found out who the guy was, and in a group therapy session, convinced him that he too needed to withdraw from the U of A immediately. Read into that as intended. I was not a participant, but I did tell the fellows how proud I was of them, especially in that they 'spoke' to this Piece Of Sh## one at a time, rather than all ganging up on him...... I haven't thought of that part of the story in 35 years.....

Wow, place hasn't changed in 35 years except one thing! I dropped my son off for collage, I stayed in same dorm 35 years ago, In Fact same floor, they are ripping American off for what they are charging. This has to stop.

A bit confusing to locate at first, but the dorm seems to be clean & so far, other students are quite welcoming of my 'freshman in college' daughter!
