This was our second stay at Homestead Guest Cabins within the past twelve months. Both experiences were wonderful. The cabin was perfect, clean, comfortable, well-designed, and offered great views and close proximity to outside activities. I wish I could give it 10 stars, but maximum allowed is 5.

Four of us (two brothers and our wives) stayed here for 3 nights. Dan and Sandy are very friendly and helpful. The cabin #3 was clean and had all we needed for a very comfortable stay. The location is very close to the Matanuska glacier and the scenery in the area is breathtaking. Our cabin was quiet and we all slept well. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

What a wonderful place to stay and we received the warmest greeting from the owners, it was a great kick off for our family vacation. It was perfect place for our family to stay, we had little ones and they had nice touches that made it perfect. The cabin is a described and was great for cooking meals and hanging out between activities near the glacier. Very clean and comfortable. We were even treated to a moose in the yard one morning. The kids were thrilled. I highly recommend staying here

I stayed at Homestead Guest Cabins on June 18, 2023. The Spruce Cabin is absolutely incredible. It was built by owner Dan and decorated by co-owner Sandy. The cabin is absolutely delightful; secluded, peaceful, and decorated with such care. Perfect in every detail.|But the thing that made my short stay so memorable was the amazing hospitality of Sandy and Dan. What a great couple! I spent hours listening to them share their 40 year Alaskan adventure with me. They are two of the most gracious, happy people I’ve had the good fortune to meet. My only regret is that my current stay was just one night. I hope to return in the next year or two for a stay of several nights. I highly recommend staying at Sandy and Dan’s Homestead Guest Cabins. Top notch accommodations and remarkable hosts. I consider Sandy and Dan to be my friends. What a great couple.||Stan Kleven|Sartell, MN, USA

We stayed 4 days 3 nights. Wonderful place to experience nature's sounds and vegetation. Cabin very clean, roomy, warm, quilts are nice touch. Cabin has everything you need + more. Very close to Arnie's auto-toss scheduled for next July 4th. We plan to return next year for much longer visit!

Our family of 4 stayed here in July. Sandy and Dan met us at arrival and explained everything to us. Our cabin was cute and comfortable. It had everything we needed: wonderful beds, hot shower, and a fully equipped kitchen. It more than exceeded our needs. It’s in a perfect location, peaceful and away from many people, but closer enough to Palmer and Glacier View. We even saw moose and calf one morning.

We did a month long road trip in Alaska and hands down our favorite place to stay was the Homestead Guest Cabins. Sandy and Dan were so welcoming and Sandy was extremely helpful with suggestions where to hike and preparing us in advance of the limited restaurant options late in the vacation season. The Spruce Ridge Cabin was perfect for the two us with all the amenities we needed and with Dan’s design and workmanship in building the cabin and Sandy’s handiwork decorating it, everything was superb. Being only minutes away from gorgeous views of Matanuska Glacier and the surrounding snow covered mountains was just icing on the cake!

My wife and I had a wonderful four-night stay at Sandy and Dan's cabin in August 202. The cabin is super clean and homey, the surroundings are so peaceful and relaxing. We had a nice chat with the host and learnt a lot of interesting facts about Alaska. We both feel we didn't stay long enough and looking forward to going back in the near future.
