Older small rooms. Very clean. Housekeeping was outstanding. Perfect location for fishing charters. Slippery showers and very little water volume from the shower, so took forever.

Between limited hours at the adjacent MacDonalds and limited nearby facilities, breakfast is a challenge.

One of the worst rooms I've ever paid money for. My room was freezing cold with the heat turned to max - I had to wear long underwear, fleece pants, two fleece shirts, and a hat to bed, and I took all the blankets off the second bed in the room. I wish I'd brought my 15 degree sleeping bag to be warm enough. And my room (230) shouldn't be sold as a room you can sleep in. It was right above the bar and there was loud partying until 2am every night when I was staying there on weekdays for work. I was told there was nothing they could do about the noise level when I asked at midnight on a Wednesday for some quiet. The location is central. That's the only thing its got going for it.

The staff make this place wonderful.
Friendly, down to earth, and feel like they genuinely want to make your stay better.
Rooms are fine, nothing great nor terrible.
But we lost some items during our stay, and they found them, and went above and beyond to get them back to us. Thanks!

Hotel is dated and in really poor. Pillows were like bags of instant mash potatoes. Restaurant was closed, cole machine out of order, and Toilets would not flush properly in room. Also had a young lady working the desk at the overnight shift who was rude and apathetic. Coffee offered in the lobby was cold.

Stayed a few days on way out to hunting camp, and a day before heading back to mainland. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff very helpful to connect with shuttle to airport or wherever. Clean, affordable, and relatively quiet. For work I usually stay at Homewood suites or Residence Inn, this place was just fine with me for single personal travel.

We recently returned from our Alaskan vacation and made the trip to Kodiak Island in between our stay in Anchorage and surrounding areas. There are not many options for hotels in Kodiak but by doing my research before going we found this little gem! Truly the Alaska feel comes with this hotel. We love the front desk people and the desk clerk was very gracious when we got there early in the morning by plane. We stowed our luggage in their storeroom and then went to the attached restaurant for breakfast. They also have a good bar on premises as well. Our room was ready early so we got to check in, great. 2nd floor room to the back right side. I really should have requested a ground floor room as my husband has bad knees so if that's an issue request ahead of time. The room was large with a comfy bed, blackout curtains, no closet but nice clothes rack. Slept like babies. A microwave and coffee service was also in-room, which was nice. Bathroom average size with good shower head. This hotel is in the middle of town so convenient to walk if possible. We used local taxi service to get around and usually ran us about $5 per trip. We would stay here again if lucky enough to return to the beautiful Island of Kodiak.

Pleasant service, only stayed one night so I didn't see a whole lot of the place. They do have a freezer for storage if you need. Had a none smoking room and it smelled fine. I'd recommend to anyone who needs to stay a few nights.
