This is a good Place for an Over Night stay to catch a Plane or Train. We stayed her twice this trip and will likely do so again.
The rooms are Clean, the bathroom is clean and serviceable.
The AC (required in the summer) is a indoor unit vented through the wall and takes up some valuable space in the room next to the bed, it is also a little slow to cool down the room.
The service is Most Excellent, Very friendly staff, went out of their way to help, for example; on the way out we were on a very early flight and would miss Breakfast. they made up two bagged breakfast snacks for us to take with us. The ride to the airport was easy and on time.
The location is good for us, we go to the Delta Junction area, this hotel is very close to the airport and close to the train Depot and they will pick you up and drop you off. There is a good coffee shop about a block away and you can easily walk to Fred Myer and the small shopping center
Like I said we will try to stay here again nest time

We recently stayed 1 night at Golden North Inn and found it to be just what we needed arriving into Fairbanks at 2 AM. Great shuttle service in the middle of the night, rooms clean and warm, nice breakfast in the morning and very helpful staff.

The customer service went above our expectations! We arrived late and had a rough trip. The night clerk was very helpful.
In the morning the breakfast was fresh and hit the spot. Everything was clean and the room was very comfortable.

Positive: Large rooms, very nice manager and staff, decent towels
Negative: very skimpy amenities (no coffee or tea in rooms, no extra blankets), industrial area under airport approach path, TV wouldn't change channels, tiny spartan breakfast

Our flight was scheduled to arrive about midnight so we booked this little hotel for one night while on our way to the aurora borealis lodge. It’s an older facility, but the room was clean, the heater worked well, but the best part was the staff. Our plane was delayed until about 1:00AM, but we called and Carlos was there to pick us up in about 15 minutes. They let us check out late since our other place wasn’t ready, and there was a modest but nice assortment of breakfast foods - muffins, instant oatmeal, fruit, cheese, yogurt, etc. everyone was very friendly. It is convenient to a big Fred Meyer store and provided free airport shuttle. A great value in our opinion.

This is an overdue review, but the guys here were awesome. We originally had plans to stay elsewhere but it didnt work out and everywhere was booked because of the lights. We came last minute and in the middle of the night and were so so thankful to have found them. The rooms are old, but clean and charming. I actually like the set up. The staff were always kind, welcoming, and helpful. It's close to the airport but still quiet. Thank you for helping our family out. We enjoyed our stay and I would definitely come back.
