Four of us stayed in one of the cabins on a fishing trip arranged with Russell Fishing. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. The cabins are more rustic than the lodge, however after fishing all day it was perfect for us. The breakfasts were great and Theresa made sure we had plenty to eat and packed us lunches for the boat.

The cabins are open floor plans, with one full and two twin beds, No WIFI, took along time to get hot water, cabins weren't insulated very well, no drying rack for gear outside cabins, the breakfast each morning was ok( she made breakfast pizza one morning that was way overcooked and served anyway.) There was a small fridge and microwave in each room. No linen service all week or fresh towels. I know its Alaska and can appreciate the rustic feel, but teenagers enjoy internet access and access to ESPN on TV. I would pick a lodge with newer rooms and more amenities for the price.

we stayed here for 2 days. it's a pretty good location as far as being near Kenai and Soldotna, so that is a plus. but the accommodations are kind of lacking in our opinion. there are 3 private cabins next to the main house. i'm not sure what they're like inside...maybe that's where the great reviews come from? we stayed in a room in the basement. and yes, it's the definition of a basement not a "lower level" as some other reviewers have stated. it's cold and dark and cinderblock walls. our room was a bed in an about 10 X 10 foot space with a small window looking out. no color to the room, no real decorations. the bed was mediocre for comfort and the sheets/comforter was old. it didn't seem unclean, but it also has probably been used for many years. the most disappointing part of the room was our bathroom. i posted pictures of it because it was honestly very gross. there was mold all throughout the shower and there were heavy stains in the toilet. i know the water is probably hard here, but clean, bleach, etc. or just replace stuff when it gets THAT bad.||||the owner of the property was very nice. no problems with her at all. she was welcoming and she prepared a nice breakfast for us in the morning. it was hot and fresh.||||summary: if you're coming to kenai/soldotna to sleep for a night or fish then this is a fine place to stay. if you're coming on a 'vacation' with family you may look elsewhere or just camp.

this was a real find at a reasonable price for the area! The room was clean and the owners are very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts are above and beyond expectations and the coffee is awesome! They lodge is open and inviting. Truly a find!

Our stay at the Log Cabin Inn, was the highlight of our Alaskan trip. Every clean and the service was beyond excellent. Teresa made us feel at home and was a very knowledgeable hostess. We were there for the fishing and she made sure that we hit the rivers with an excellent breakfast and very good lunches. We returned from fishing to a clean and inviting lodge with plenty of amenities.
I highly recommend this rural and picturesque lodge.
