Mi sink estaba likeando y llame a mantenimiento!!! Simplemente fatal!!

I have lived at Villages of Monterey for 4.5 years and have been part of the Oceanside and North County community for the past 30 years. I have lived in several different apartments communities within North County and overall, Villages of Monterey have been the most like “home” place to live.

Any issues I’ve had in my apartment have always been addressed promptly by the maintenance team. They are all friendly, professional, and quick to help! I know I may be forgetting some names, but I’d like to express my gratitude to the Maintenance Manager (Felipe?), Arturo, Tim, and Fernando.

Additionally, I recently renewed my lease and had an issue with the apartment portal. I ended up going into the office and Kiara was incredibly helpful throughout the process.

I know the apartment has is working on community improvement with assigned parking, new mailboxes and an updated gym. I can’t wait to see the new changes.

I truly appreciate the staff’s friendly and responsive service—it makes a huge difference in the living experience!

Don't stay here! If you don't buy a parking space! They will tow it away even if they don't write the reserved space! It has been towed away once before! This is the video I took before parking, there was no warning! In the end, it was towed away! Trash management! I will leave immediately if I find a new place!

Thank you, Fernando, for maintaining excellent standards in our complex. In the maintenance department.

I have submitted multiple service requests for difficulties in my unit, and Fernando reaction was beyond impressive. Not only did he respond quickly to the situation, but he also went above and beyond to guarantee that he called and connected with me before, during, and after to ensure that everything I needed fixed was fulfilled.

Fernando was really professional and communicative, keeping me informed throughout the process. His commitment to excellence and resident satisfaction is simply admirable!

Don’t live here. Moved in and there were roaches, ants and mice infestation. They finally came after 4 months of multiple requests and emails to spray for roaches, ants and spiders. For the mice they came and put down traps… that is clearly not gonna get rid of them so now I have little Stuart’s as roommates. I have a young child and I’m so scared of her getting sick because of all these pests. Parking is also horrible. So prepare for your car to be towed and for management to not care in the slightest about any issues you have with your apartment. Maintenance takes months to come. I’m now literally having to take legal steps to get removed from this lease because it’s been absolute hell since the day we moved in. I should’ve known this was no place to live when they scheduled us to get our keys on a day they weren’t even open. That was the first red flag smh

“ Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. Please reach out to our offices and ask to speak with our Community Director so we may learn more about this experience and further improve our services.” Is the biggest cop out response that I have ever read.

As a complex you have increased the amount of poor ratings DRASTICALLY within the past few months and are failing to address it. Let me begin with the response you provide on any complaints or suggestions you receive. “Please reach out to our offices” We have. Emailing, calling, in person visits, and now leaving reviews. Most do not have the opportunity to go into the leasing office due to the hours they work in order to pay their rent, so for you to not answer the phone is remarkably upsetting. It is not about our failure to communicate, it is about your failure to listen and care about what your residents say. If you respond to this review with the same above response it is clear that you are not actually retaining any of the feedback you are receiving but instead copy/paste and no action.

Secondly, the first service request I submitted for the broken mailboxes was after a month of no action in February. What does this mean? This means that while the complex was withdrawing free guest parking and focusing on ways to increase revenue, tenants have been without access to mail at their home for 7 months. Let me say again, SEVEN MONTHS. No action. I attempted to submit a review on the internal community board offering to fix it for them and it was vetted and not published. I have called, submit service request, gone in person, submit reviews for SEVEN MONTHS with no action. Explain the timeliness of the resolution for the broken mailboxes please.

Thirdly, there is no response to the emails provided on active building. I have attempted to communicate an issue via email to the resident service team, comprised of four people over TEN days ago, with no response. While I understand that going through emails must be a taxing job, but that is what the job is. Resident service management and response is an assumed task for someone that has a job title of resident service manager.

I will not be going into the leasing office to address these concerns anymore seeing as how I work (as most residents due) from 8am-6 and sometimes 7pm outside of YOUR hours. You provide a phone number to your residents who are unable to go in person, so pick it up. You provide emails to those that are unable to go in person, so answer them.

This complex was truly amazing and beautiful in the beginning, but whatever is happening in the leasing office needs to get resolved.

I hope that my review will help you make the right decision before moving in here.
Also, I hope that the management would see the inside problems and would take some actions.
In the past year the property has become a ghetoo.
The rent skyrocket and it is not worth moving in at all.
I will start with the fact that the buildings are old and along with termite infestation they have the prehistoric windows that collect mold during the winter period.
Lately, the management had the bright idea to install the water retainers in all the faucets. The pipes started cracking one after another due to the high pressure. To reduce the number of floods they installed a low pressure pump and basically cut the water off.
On top of that they come up with fee after fee.
1. Amenities improvement fee. Is $5 every month with 0 improvements (they have done the deck at the pool.... closed for almost a year)
No heated pool and the hot tub is always unavailable either dirty or marked with caution tape.
The gym got destroyed and nobody is taking care of it.
2. Boiler Fee. A new thing they came up with is the so called boiler fee. The lease states the gas is covered by the landlord. Well they added an addendum to charge people for boiler fee since it is using gas to heat the water.
When you ask the management what is going on with this fee they give you a run around and play dumb "oh it is for gas but it is charged under the boiler fee." Guess what? The amount keeps increasing every month.
So make your conclusion from here...
3. Online service fee.
It might be some small fee but when you add them up the bill increases. The living conditions are decreasing.
4. Maintenance Work Orders. Good luck with that. Keep waiting for your turn.
