Living in confined spaces no bigger than a 10x10x11 room. Desk Clerks are usually hospitable and management is decent enough. However the population is a bunch of mental patients rounded up from the streets and other mental problem locations.
The best part is the neighborhood. A great place all round for location.

Visited a friend for about an hour on a Saturday Night around 8:30pm, the building was very quiet considering the time. The first floor lobby is large and has a sitting area and a large television, and the front desk / door clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room I was in was large and included a private bathroom, original wood floors and huge windows. Most rooms, however, are shared bath. Overall the building could use a bit of an update/restoration but was very clean.

Lovely place. Staff is very responsive and Maintenance is quick to help fix problems that need to be fixed. Rooms are percect sized. Not too large not too small. There are wonderful neighbors as well....all around a lovely place to be living at.

I would have given this hotel a higher rating but for one thing: The bathrooms!!! Don't get me wrong!!! They weren't disgusting, or even very dirty to be perfectly honest, however,, they weren't spotless and that's exactly the way a public bathroom should be kept

Perhaps the undocumented worker is lacking the fundamental skill required to assess which tool is proper for the job at hand. For instance, the neumatic chisel may be inadequate for the immediate task right a9bove my room..i have operated such tools myself.know the damage one can cause if not used in tbe right way, wbich by the sounds of it, a finished job is nowhere in my immediate future. By the way, i was not notified of this irritating inconvenience. I do not recall a memo stating loud, obnoxious machinery being used by individuals that did not know which tool was required per the job. Maybe i should go get in the way....ruffle some feathers....annoy them as much as they have annoyed me...yeah...i think thats exactlywh....

The McAllister is an SRO. My experience was great! All the staff are friendly and the hotel is clean and kept up!
