Buscábamos donde parar en el camino a San Francisco, y no pudimos haber acertado más. |Shell beach es súper tranquilo, un lugar playero, típico californiano. El motel estaba a metros de la playa (no es con arena) y fue realmente perfecto. La habitación era limpia, amplia, con heladera, microondas, plancha, secador, cafetera, me hubiera quedado más días!

Es un lugar acogedor y barato.El mostrador abierto 24 horas.Habitaciones sencillas pero limpias.Incluye nevera.La cama grande y comoda.Buena relacion calidad precio.La playa esta muy cerca y el ambiente es relajado y muy tranquilo.

I’ve stayed at a number of “bargain” hotels and i’m fine as long as they are clean. This was not the case. The paint was chipped, the lampshades broken, our feet felt gross and got dirty walking on the floor.

The biggest two problems were this: the smoke detector was not hard wired in to the ceiling and subsequent fell off around midnight, waking us up with the loud noise. After discovering what happened, we found out there were no batteries in the smoke detector. Thought they may have fallen out but didn’t not find any on the ground.

We found mold on the shower curtains the first morning there.

There is also no on site management to handle customer service, the lady there has to call someone to process your requests. And they don’t have a card reader at the front desk. I had to give my card number over the phone to pay the pet fee. It’s all very suspicious and made me feel very uneasy. The secondary latch was also missing from the door. We asked for a refund for the rest of the trip and they agreed. I’m waiting for the confirmation email. But it’s only been a few hours.

Definitely a stay again bargain. Especially when the bouge places down the street are 2.5x more at least.
For me, I travel to a destination to enjoy the surroundings. I want a clean,
The comfortable room to shower, recharge, change for dinner, etc, and sleep. I can get that, then the rest of the fluff that I'm paying 2-3 hundred dollars a night for is all wasted money. I can have a spa day in my home town, I Cannot be on the beach in 10 minutes.

Amazing location, easy walk to the coffee shop and a few restaurants nearby. Walk down the street to the beautiful ocean walk.
Easy check-in, room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Large flat screen tv.
Looking forward to our next stay!
