My 102 years young mother has lived at Merrill Gardens in Santa Maria, CA. I have nothing but praise for them. It is an amazing place to have a family member living there. It starts with upper management, staff and the residents. They all treat each other with respect and care. There are lots of activities for everyone. On holidays the staff make it special for all the resident. My mother is love it there. I am constantly recommending this place to friends and strangers. Jo-Ann

This community offers a beautiful campus, excellent options for seniors where they are in life now, full line of activities, daily meals, transportation, housekeeping...so much and wonderful staff. Also, very affordable rates and care services for those who may need more help on a daily basis. We are more then impressed.

When my mom was considering moving to an independent care facility, it was a huge decision for all of us but, obviously, mostly for my mom. She knew the house was beginning to feel like a lot and that she was not enjoying keeping up with the chores and errands that were required. But since she hadn't lived in a shared community since college, she just wasn't sure this was going to be a good idea. But after much conversation and prayer, she made the move to Merrill Gardens about a year and a half ago. And I can honestly say it has been a fantastic move. She loves the balance between her independence in her own spacious apartment but also being surrounded by new friends and activities. Mom loves her large deck that provides her own piece of the outdoors. The staff is lovely - they know everyone by name and go out of their way to be helpful without being intrusive. The dining room is so good - we had a fantastic salmon dinner tonight - and the meals are available and plentiful. My mom, and all of the family, are so thankful that Merrill Gardens is her home.

Merrill Gardens Santa Maria is more than I had imagined or hoped to experience. Amazing, caring, professional staff who go out of their way to assure our physical and mental well being. The food is excellent and dining is open 7am to 7pm. The residents are friendly, inclusive, and welcoming. I have had 9 years of support and friends through difficult and good times. I hope for many more. This is my home and family.

Merrill Gardens is exactly where my 87 year old mom wanted and needed to be! She moved into her one bedroom apartment back in August of 2022 and she has been very happy. The food and activities are top notch and she has met so many wonderful friends. From the day we walked in and met Cheryl, everything has gone very smoothly. My mom really enjoys her roomy apartment, her outdoor balcony and the convenience of being so close to everything. The staff is super friendly and always there to answer any questions or concerns. Merrill Gardens definitely deserves 5 Stars and a Special Thank You to Cheryl for everything you’ve done for my Mom.

My parents are so happy here. I was looking for a top notch assisted living facility for them and Merrill Gardens is wonderful. The staff is friendly and caring. The restaurant is wonderful. They are just starting to engage in activities, but have already met happy neighbors. They just love their new apartment and are enjoying loving life with a little less stress.
