I like staying here rooms are nice, free wifi, private bathroom with shower, fridge, Microwave, queen size bed, small desk and a closet. Cleaning staff comes daily, heated/ac in every room.

My experience in NGIS Ford Hall B-wing:

Pros-Safe, Microwave, good-size fridge, keurig, TV, private bathroom, free Wi-Fi, short commute, onsite coin laundry, free parking.

Cons-No elevator, No breakfast, Rooms with AC are "first come, first serve", Ants, Mold, Spiders, top coat on the bathroom floor peals and sticks to your feet, carpet is disgusting, Dated furniture.

Former barracks the Navy requires civilians to stay instead of a real hotel. I saved the govt $70/night staying here plus at least $30/night in parking fees plus 75 cents it stole from the detergent dispenser that didn't work 😒

Just Awful. Ford Hall hasn't been refurbished since World War II. Furniture worn out. Carpet worn out. Shower barely got me wet. It was just a trickle. Worn out. And if you think Navy Base San Diego is bad go to NAB on Coronado. Dingy. Awful. And the price is a joke. Go to the U.S. Air Force Academy to find out what military visitors should get for the money.

If you can get on the military base, Ford hall is a great place to stay. The price is only $80 a night which is very reasonable. The rooms are very dated, but were clean and a good size. The bed was also very comfortable. I understood that the Ford hall rooms were the only ones with air conditioner, which worked very well.

AC good. Air quality low. Rooms Adequate. Ants will be your room mates. Front desk good. Room service adequate. Maintenance a fail: 1 hour and still no show.

Toilets with no covers, a bit unsanitary. Quite old construction and furnishings. But there is AC and plenty of parking. The Lodge is much nicer and usually cheaper.
