The leasing staff Melissa was extremely rude. 1. Abrupt message to ask change of scheduled visit and not giving any reason why. Then asked us to do our home work. 2. Upon arrival the property she is not talking and unwilling to give tour around the amenity of place until we asked if there is gym? What’s it the parking situation? 3. When touring the apartment, she is only willing to lead us to 1 of them. And the whole time she is not talking and introduce the place. Not giving information about size and price. She said if you have questions you should ask.

Very bad experience and the management team of this property should give proper training.

The leasing office staff, Melissa Vargas was very rude. Not only the office was always closed without any prior notice when her manager wasn’t here, but she also didn’t have basic patience or empathy when we approached her politely. Genuinely don’t know why she is still doing this job. Since she was so annoyed to see us every time, we didn’t choose to rent here of course

Packages get stolen. They do not have enough lockers for all packages. Door to building is always locked and Amazon delivery guys have been saying the code given by the leasing office does not work. Packages sometimes have to be left by the front door, outside the building. It looks like current the person-in-charge is just bitter and refuses to see anyone's life smooth, from residents to delivery drivers.

Previously, there was Vanessa, the building manager. The only one that cares to attend to residents' needs is Vanessa (who is away on leave). So, the one in charge now (just my guess since I don't really know their designations) is that very stand-offish person who thinks the residents owe her a living for being there. If there's anything, anything at all, she would NOT get off her chair to help. She'd only say, "we cannot do anything."

Vanessa has always been the one attending to residents' questions and needs. They have a substitute now, but anything you ask that substitute, she would go to ask the other person who is now in charge. And, that person would tell the substitute that it's nothing management can do or should do to help.

If only the management/leasing people are nicer, this place would be much better. I predict things will be hellish until Vanessa comes back from her (maternity) leave. (Guessing it's maternity leave, just a guess, because the other person, who is now in charge, would not say where Vanessa went, because everything you ask her, it's "I don't know" or "we cannot help.").

Overall a decent place to live. Good value for money if you don't have school-age children (the Castro school to which this is assigned ranks terribly low). Amenities look good, but game room activities frequently don't work / lack supplies. The gym is well equipped but poorly ventilated. Parking has EV chargers for residents, but they are super slow (6 kW) and super marked up ($0.50/kWh!). The community overall is notoriously difficult to park and navigate for guests / deliverymen and the callbox is usually broken so one has to walk down to let people in. On the bright side it does have some unique floor plans (including dens which are great for home office). The maintenance is prompt and the leasing office employees are friendly and helpful. Rents are raised with the market (i.e. admittedly somewhat slower recently).

I went for a tour yesterday and I arrived as scheduled. By the time I arrive at the leasing office the agent looked super unhappy and she rushed us to finish the tour quickly. She said she gave me a call to reschedule and I never picked up. Guess when she call? 1 minute past the scheduled time. Extremely unprofessional, you do not tell people to go home when they arrived as the time scheduled, you tell people in advance! Will not consider this place given the rude experience.

Living at Novo was amazing. We lived in a 2br 2ba unit for two years and had no issues at all. Management is wonderful, maintenance is highly responsive, and the community itself is very peaceful and quiet. The building is safe but accessible for the various visitors you need (DoorDash, Amazon, etc) with a modern security system. My AC, water heating, and other comforts were met. I couldn’t recommend it more strongly!

We moved in a few months ago, I love how quiet the neighborhood is. The neighbors I see in passing are always friendly. The layout was a little confusing at first but I finally have it down! Vanessa and Melissa were super friendly and extremely helpful with all my questions. My one complaint would be the dryers are a little slow since they are energy efficient, but it is nice having in unit machines. Overall I would recommend this neighborhood for anyone who wants an updated apartment in a great location, near a lot of stores and businesses. Constantly going to Traders Joe's and trying new places to eat.

The apartment is nice community. I really want to complain the move-out fees. I’m not sure about others tenants situation. For us, we cleaned all area for our unit, and nothing is broken. The condition is very good. However, we still need to $50 plus NO refund of $500 deposit. I feel like they just want to charge you as much as possible before you move out. I have lived around 5 apartments, and I got fully deposit refund for all of them. If you look for new apartment, my advice to you NO $500 deposit refund when you move out!!
