This house is a gem and my experience staying here has been very positive. Major work has gone into improvements based on past feedback. Tons of things have been fixed, cleaned and updated and the management today is responsive and proactive in both house repairs and peoples recoveries. I feel safe and heard and I look forward to spending time at home. Like any house, it has its quirks and there are still some opportunities for improvement, but the big ones that are critical for health, safety, and success in recovery are addressed with priority.

The location has good proximity to hwy 17 and Santa Cruz make this a desirable spot for commuters who enjoy nature/water in their time off. I like the multiple big decks with redwoods in your face, and the updated reclining couches (4 or 5 recliners I think).

I would recommend this house to anyone in recovery who wants some serenity away from the hustle and bustle and who benefits from structure and responsive support.

The house has a weird musky smell, heater barely works , many power outages , the house runs on well water . The house rules are very strict, the house manager is new and doesn’t know what their doing , i get anxious about the the curfew since it’s 930 and I have to leave meetings early . The house manager changes rules to fit their needs . Please look into other SLES not hidden away in the mountains .

This house is for rehabilitation. The previous long term home owners use to take great care and pride in their home. Since the original owners left this home it has been left and is in much need of repairs.
