Our stay at the Shashi Hotel in Palo Alto was a solid experience. Upon arrival, we discovered that the TV in our room wasn’t working, but the maintenance team came immediately and resolved the issue within minutes, which was very impressive. The front desk staff greeted us warmly and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. Room service was also quick and efficient, adding to the overall convenience and comfort of our visit.

We ordered the Greek yogurt bowl and the pork sausage bowl, both of which were delicious and satisfying. The lemon ginger shot was a standout—we highly recommend trying it! The room was well-maintained, and the hotel was impressively quiet, with only the occasional sound of footsteps in the hallway. Overall, it was a pleasant and seamless stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

For a 5 star hotel, this place gives a motel sleeping experience. I was put in a room where the walls were so thin that I could hear the person above me breathing. Let's not even talk about how loud their footsteps are heard or how I got woken up to stomping twice. Also my room had a door in the wall to the room next door (? I know) so I could hear my neighbour having calls word for word. My general gut feeling is whoever commissioned and designed this hotel originally didn't think as hard as they should have about it and/or items were included as box checkers (pool? Check. Colour changing lights? Check. Auto moving blinds? Check.)

This hotel is held up by its hard working staff who turn over the rooms every day and man the ground floor amenities, and I sure hope management know that.

Thought the marketplace was also overpriced and cafe quality was average. However, to contextualise this review: Palo Alto and Mountain View don't have many nice hotels at all, period. So this is probably the 'best' hotel around. I'd probably come back again for business but only because of location, and only if I was on the fifth floor.

I loved staying in the Shashi hotel. we were on a short trip and were surprised by this cozy place. There is also so much to do around such as scenic hikes even available by foot, nice amenities like fresh fruit in the morning, very delicious drinks at night (pricey but yummy) and food in the restaurants in the property, and lovely spa. The service was nice but rushed. We were not informed about some amenities, and the couple before us was clearly explained about wireless, parking, deposit etc..Thank you, I will come back!

This place is beautiful. It was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. Smart features and the amenities are great here. They put amazing scents in the air throughout the entire hotel. The bar area is well designed, and so is the entire hotel. The rooms offer smart features on the TV that control your entire experience. From the lighting colors and sounds. The place is awesome.
