Honestly wasn’t even going to write a review until my privacy was invaded multiple times by the owner. As a single mom of two and only coming in with my children and another female I just feel like it was really unprofessional and rude to open up my room door without even knocking. Secondly my daughter was changing in the restroom and was spooked out when she seen someone’s hand by the window. I go to tell the owner and he puts a flexible stick in the window as if it was going to work at this point because the window didn’t even lock properly. I was devastated and felt violated of my privacy and safety here. Coming the next morning I’m gathering our stuff and he looks in my trunk and tells me to take my own stuff out accusing me of stealing his bed bug infested sheets that were not even clean when we arrived and I mean hair and dirt all over the insides of the sheets. The microwave almost set fire when I first turned it on and he brought me another dirty one. Toilet was not clean upon arrival. Dirt underneath the bed as well. Just nasty. I have worked in the hospitality field and I knew not to have any expectations going here for the price it was and it being a motel but this is just not it. MOTEL 6 would’ve been cleaner and more professional. & please don’t try to say you have no recollection of my stay here because my phone has the time date and location of each picture. And I was cleaning my room before I left to make it as I came in until you continuously kept looking in my car after being told not to.

I checked in on the 8th around 6:50 pm once AGAIN I have a picture and time stamp of it if you really want it. I took pictures first thing I woke up the next morning of the rest from being too tired prior. Please don’t keep lying. As I said my pictures have dates and times! I checked out the 11th and no one asked you for a job or would even want to work at your bed bug infested rooms. I told you I was a housekeeper and would leave room nicer than I got it but with the amount of detail and cleaning you would’ve needed it wasn’t possible, this place needs a miracle.

You have cameras in your office that work correct? Also I was never offered to see the room before checking in. I would love to see and hear when you did that. & who would want to change their room after already putting their OWN bedding on the beds and bleaching the floors before I even stepped on them. No handyman came & I NEVER asked for a refund either. Again, you have cameras everywhere that work don’t you? Thanks
You didn’t ask for your blankets you told me to take my stuff out of my car accusing it of being yours and it wasn’t even my check out time yet.

This is a great motel ! The room was nice and clean with a refrigerater ,microwave, and coffee . The man working up front was nice. He let It be known there is no smoking. He told me multiple times that it a no smoking place and I respect that. Looks like past reviews from people they were actually smoking probably . So far in my stay at the desert view motel I gotta say everything is good. And I do look around for bugs and stuff like that at any motel i been in . I did not see 1 bug or anything being dirty . Really a good place . Nice lil patio and just gotta say I was impressed and wish I would have came here in the past . Yea it's alittle dated but seems they keep it nice . It's a perfect location close to everything even if you are walking . Gotta say I like it here . Good job staff of desert view motel ! Thank you

A charming old fashioned motel. The bed is comfortable, and everything is exceptionally clean and in good repair, at a very reasonable price.

I've stayed here many times while working in the area and passing through. The rooms have pretty much always been acceptably clean, the beds are comfortable, and the microwave, refrigerator, and shower are functional. Everything you need from a cheap motel.

These aren't luxury accommodations, so don't expect that. The furniture is shabby and mismatched. If you're concerned about such things, stay elsewhere. If you want a nice little cheap room near the main highway and convenient to lots of good places, this place fits the bill.

Cons are that it's kind of noisy, and the check-in process is very old-school. So you stand there for a long time while the very nice gentleman fills out all of your information by hand on multiple forms. That being said, I do appreciate the attention to security, especially as a solo female traveler. The parking lot is also well-lighted and covered by security cameras. If you have an egregiously large vehicle, you'll need to park nearby, as the lot is small.

Bonus: It's very close to Aki Sushi, which is excellent!

This place won't allow family visits, they were literally at our door trying to kick out our family and all because the dogs were in the vehicle they wanted our family gone. They didn't provide a receipt when we first purchased the room. Me and my girl wanted to leave because that they were kicking our family. While we were trying to leave they didn't even point to where it says no refund policy and technically stole our $95. It was very unwelcome and they were rude very rude. This business should be take down immediately. They've con us of our money and because they hold your receipt which is highly illegal they robbed us of our money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MOTEL THEY ARE CONS!!!

Traveling With Welt

A few years ago, i stayed in this motel for three days. With it being my first time, they basically stated that I needed to wait outside for 2hrs until a room was available. I was on foot and didn't have a car, so I waited across the street. Although the motel was clean. The walls were super yellow which I'm assuming that's due to people smoking. Other than that, my stay was pretty decent.

All the other hotels were booked. Found this little spot off the highway. Dirty dirty room. Hair was weaved into the blankets. Lots of stuff on floor. Half roll of toilet paper. 1 small bar of soap. The towels had paint on them, smelled like mildew. Beds were awful. Me and my husband keep falling off the mattress. So he went to sleep in our truck. When we checked out, the wife was in the office. My husband recommended new beds and to clean the rooms.

Called to simply ask if they had weekly room rates, one person. Would not quote a fee -- demanded that I come in first. When looking for a motel room, one typically does not drive all over town going to each establishment to get an answer to a simple question: what are your rates? No answer, no business. Simple.
