Avoid at all costs - DIRTY, unsafe, and unresponsive management

I booked this motel through Booking.com, but it was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced – an absolute health hazard. The room was disgustingly filthy. The bed sheets were stained and looked like they hadn’t been washed in ages (see photos). The furniture was sticky and grimy, and the entire room felt like it hadn’t seen proper cleaning in months. I was genuinely concerned for my health.

I arrived late, and with no other options nearby at 1 a.m., I had no choice but to stay. I had to sleep with my jacket and pants on, because there was no way I was touching those sheets. I’ve never had to do that in my life, but this place was that bad.

It gets worse—the tap water came out yellow for the first 10 seconds, and it had a strange smell like ginseng. Even the towel had an odd cumin-like odor, making me question whether anything in the room was even remotely clean.

On top of that, it was incredibly noisy. I barely slept due to the constant noise from the street and neighboring rooms. It felt like trying to sleep in the middle of a construction site.

The worst part? The property manager refused to answer any calls. Even after Booking.com approved a free refund, they refused to cooperate, leaving me stuck in this horrible place. I booked two nights, but there is no way I’m returning for the second night—even without a refund, I refuse to stay here again.

The only slight positive was the front desk lady, who was friendly and tried to help. However, despite her efforts, she couldn’t change the disaster this place is.

Please, do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. This isn’t just an uncomfortable stay—it’s a filthy, unsafe nightmare.

Forgive me for saying this but this hotel has great potential but it’s substandard. Paying attention to detail is key. The hotel appears nice but requires professionalism. I rented what I was told was the “ best room”, however, I didn’t feel safe because the toor could be unlocked from either side, there was no acceptable second lock inside like at most hotels, there was some type of waste or dirt all down the shower curtain. There was remnants of a crushed bug with an accompanying shoe indenture in the wall, there was cigarette burns/ holes in the bedding, the towels needed attention/ updating, there was some type of dried fluid on the bedding and on the pillow cases. The tv wouldn’t readily work until I got assistance from the front desk, there were a few dead bugs on the floor, and was overall not very pleasant. I had prepaid but I didn’t stay and I left very abruptly and disappointed requesting a refund. It’s a really cute place though but it needs more intense T.L.C. I have photos of everything I experienced but I think my description here is enough. If they had they not refunded me I would’ve posted them. I wish them well as I do understand how it is starting a business. It’s challenging.

The rooms overall were acceptable, just the walls are paper thin. You can hear the guy in the next room pass gas if PCH traffic is not in rush hour mode. Store in walking distance (daylight only for solo gals). Unless you know the area well, I suggest no walking after dark alone for the women.

Indian owed motel as most motels in Long Beach are, I was pleasantly surprised by the kindness and respectful treatment the young man gave me. I was cold and tired and just didn't want any hassles. Check-In was smooth. Got to room and it smelled fine & looked clean. Took a shower. Suggestion: Put a light in the ceiling over the shower stall for the dark tile and no direct light into the shower, makes it ..umm...a small, dark place to shower! The towels were a nice, upgrade to the usual nasty white motel towels, these were plush in comparison, very soft brown towels. All was good. Checked out and didn't have to ask for my deposit back. An Uber was scheduled to come and I asked if I could keep my things within the property and it was okay. Time passed and there were glitches with those in charge of scheduling my ride. Me and my dog and I were not making noise or causing issues. Out came that young man now in the true Eastern Indian Rude mannerism I am all too well knowledgeable of by victimization as a customer, complaining that the "Owner" wants us off the property as if we had done something terrible. Yet another unseen "Owner's" need to clear me off property completely, or else has screwed up the owners "REVIEW". I am a respectful person educated and knowledgeable of many customs and attitudes in many countries being I was raised right across the Gulf they share with other countries. They don't realize I will speak because I know, but of racist ignorance in the least. They do not treat all people equal there folks and it is ugly. Again, I stayed at copious Indian owners motels over the years here in LB and gone to even more 7/11 owned by the same and the attitude is worse in 7/11 but same mannerism. I still need to do a review on this particular 7/11 in Norwalk off Imperial Hwy, I thought it a Deji Vu with the guy behind the counter when I had not been in this 7/11 but one time a year prior. So this is a hint to the Indian community who have come here to be filthy rich by your country's standards, but not by U S standards, treat people with respect! Because you own a business does not give you the right to judge and treat people thru your substandard judgement you brought here with you. Threatening and mistreatment gets you nowhere but an honest bad review from me.

I was shocked by how DIRTY this motel was. The bedding had visible stains. The entire room felt unsanitary and uncared for. It was hard to believe any effort had been made to clean the place before my stay. I felt uncomfortable being in the room at all.

On top of that, the noise from cars speeding by throughout the night made it impossible to sleep. It was loud and disruptive.

If you value cleanliness and a peaceful night’s rest, avoid this place entirely.

The rooms are always clean and easy to access. We love the front desk service and our vehicle parking is right outside our door. We have stayed here multiple times and will continue to keep coming back 👍
