I'm someone who is really particular about coffee and find most coffee shops to make pretty mediocre coffee, but this place really knows what they are doing. I'd highly recommend trying the cortado.

Ok so I am pretty new to the Thousand Oaks area and have been on a hunt to find a great coffee shop. I’ve made a list and have tried a good amount of local shops but to be honest haven’t been too impressed compared to trying coffee in the deep of LA. I was craving a smooth expresso for some reason this Saturday night and decided to continue my search and figured I’d give California Coffee a try. It was a little hard to find because it’s tucked away in a cute little alley next to brewery’s and beautiful lights. I tried my classic iced vanilla latte and my barista who I didn’t get his name (had a pretty impressive beard) asked me how I liked my coffee which I have never been asked before. This coffee was elite, super smooth, and velvety. I LOVED IT. I will definitely be coming back and thank you to the kind bearded barista that made me such a great latte. Definitely come here if you are a coffee snob like me and looking for amazing expresso, a cute atmosphere, and superior service. 🙂

I had a delicious coffee from Costa Rica today. I am very particular about my coffee and this was excellent. A very full cup with fruit notes. The service was wonderful and the environment was great. I highly recommend this place and will come back for bags of beans to brew at home. Will knows his coffee and you can taste the quality.

While I was out visiting my hometown, decided to give California Coffee Republic a try. WOW, this was hands down the best latte I have ever had! If you love coffee, this is definitely a must visit. Staff was super friendly. It is just down the street from Starbucks, so don't waste your time and visit CCR!

Finally got to visit here! And it was worth it. It is across from one of our favorite microbreweries, Enegren, and they offer an AWESOME assortment of dishes to compliment the beers (sausage, German pretzels, pizza, and chicken tenders) - because the brewery doesn't serve food. But more deserving of praise is their devotion to quality coffee. The manager, Will, knows his trade and enjoys conversations about the origins, character, and quality of their various beans. He is also happy to host seminars/tastings for small groups, anniversary partues, or company outings.Lily, a barista, served us wonderfully balanced honey lavender matcha, rose latte, and an Americano (freshly ground to order).

I absolutely loved my cappuccino. Every sip compulsed an audible "oh yea" similar to Kevin from the show The Office. I loved it so much I drove back and got another just a few hours later. Unfortunately, I'm from out of town, but if I wasn't I would ditch my coffee machine and just come here every morning. Seriously. Try it yourself! Friendly atmosphere and amazing coffee.

Great coffeeshop (and they have food and adjacent to a brewery with nice relaxing sitting area) tried cappuccino, they don't dump a whole lot of milk like other places and you can actually taste good coffee in your espresso drink. Bought some coffee as well to bring home.
