El hotel está emplazado de forma inmejorable a escasos 5 minutos de Fisherman's Wharf. En un paseo te plantas en Cannary Street.||||El hotel es bonito y limpio. Las habitaciones tienen un aspecto inmejorable y se nota bien cuidado.||||La parte negativa es que notamos en la recepción un trato poco cordial. También hay que comentar que el desayuno era correcto pero el salón es minúsculo y tuvimos que esperar para desayunar 15 minutos

Nos alojamos dos noches en el hotel. Eramos dos adultos y dos chicos; además de la buena y limpia habitación e instalaciones, es de destacar la especial cordialidad y la muy buena disposición de servicio por parte de quien nos atendió en la recepción. En todo momento trató de hacer nuestra estadía mas confortable.||La ubicación es muy buena y si bien los criterios de cada quien son diversos para catalogar los ||buenos o malos alojamientos, para nosotros fué esencial el trato personalizado que recibimos.||Quisiera señalar que no tuvimos ninguna digicultad en especial, simplemente que nos resultó especialmente grato el trato recibido y para nosotros, junto con lo adecuado del lugar físico, fue muy importante.||Lo elegimos a través de los comentarios leídos en Tripadvisor||Abuelos viajando con sus nietos

We stayed at this property for the 2nd time earlier this week. This time we booked the suite, which I highly recommend. Everything about this place is “Top Notch!” Property, location, amenities and the overall service of the entire staff…..nothing short of spectacular. Looking forward to our next visit and highly recommend this property in Monterey.

Very clean, quiet and nice rooms. Housekeeping staff was great. Close walking distance to the wharf and other nearby places like starbucks! Will def stay here again! they serve coffee and pastries in the am which is wonderful to start off your day! front desk staff is kind. the only thing i disliked was that there is no microwave in the room, so if you bring leftovers from nearby restaurants there is no way to re-heat and you'll have to toss unfortunately 🙁 other then that i absolutely enjoyed it

Also an sich ein süßes sauberes Hotel. Die Mitarbeiter waren auch nett.
Frühstück war nicht so dolle und hatte sehr wenig Auswahl. Unser Zimmer war groß, aber ist auch in die Jahre gekommen und da hingen hier und da einige Spinnennetze.
Der Standort war sehr gut.

Quirky stay in the heart of town. Comfortable and lovely staff. Breakfast was fit for purpose and great to see them catering honey for tea, rather than assuming everyone uses refined sugars. Would highly recommend, and really cost effective for those on a budget.

I'll give you the pros and cons of the Merritt House. |Pros:|- Large, beautifully decorated rooms|- Good continental breakfast|- Helpful staff who took the step of leaving keys for us because we arrived after their office closed.|- The staff's warning there are two less parking spots than rooms. We were able to park with no problem, but I credit the staff for being up front when I called and described local parking garages. |Cons:|- The fact that the place has two less parking spots than rooms. But hey, at least they told me when I called them, so kudos for that. |- This is a real inn so the front desk isn't manned 24x7. In fairness, they left the number of the manager if we needed them, and they were kind enough to leave the key under the mat, but when you're coming in late, it adds stress to arrive at a dark hotel.|- Speaking of arriving after hours, when we did arrive we drove around the place several times because we couldn't find the driveway. I recommend more lighting so this is clearer. Again, when you arrive late in a town you don't know, it's stressful to be confused over something this straightforward.|- We came on a cold night in Monterey (from what we know, they're all cold) so the room was frigid. Again, kudos to the staff for leaving a Duraflame log, but it was too late for that so it took us a bit to figure out the antiquated heating system (really, it took our waking up in the middle of the night, teeth chattering, forced to figure it out).
