This place is amazing! Dwayne and Michael are great hosts. There is so much history in the house. Dwayne is an amazing chef. We spent new years eve there. We wished we had been able to stay for longer. But 1 night was still amazing. He prepared a beautiful and delicious breakfast. And because of New years eve he also prepared dinner. I can't recommend this place enough. We were lucky to have met great people while staying. And we had super fun interesting conversations with some travelers from France (Dimitry and Isabelle) and Northern California. The hosts do stimulate guests interactions. The hot tub under the stars? Nothing can beat it even though it was cold we didnt feel cold. It was so warm and relaxing.

On our way to one of our favorite places. This will be our 12 year so, you can say it’s a tradition. It’s a great quiet getaway spot and the service is always fantastic. Michael and Wayne are the best hosts anyone could hope for and the food is always good. No continental breakfast here. Everything is always made fresh. Wayne’s take on chilaquiles is awesome and Michael’s bread rocks. This is my husband’s favorite places to sleep, relax, and reset.

The Casa is the perfect balance between rustic and elegant. Eclectically decorated in a rustic motif, there are three bedrooms, each with a private bath. Gourmet dinners are offered three evenings per week (well worth the extra fee) and a three course freshly prepared breakfast is included. The hosts, Wayne, a world class chef and Michael who brings extensive hospitality experience to the Casa are the key to its success. They have created a unique experience that keeps their guests coming back. The property has two hot tubs, walking areas and our personal favorite, The outdoor Stargazer Bed. When we are in California we don’t miss the opportunity to plan a stay at the Casa. It feels like we are coming home.

Even Piero the Wolfhound - the Casa's friendly trail guide/canyon hiking companion - is exceptional! And I'll long treasure one of the more exceptional nights of my life communing with the heavens from the comfort of the Casa's star bed.||||But for me, the most exceptional thing about this exceptional place is it's beyond exceptional hospitality. Yes, Wayne and Michael meet and exceed every expectation when it comes to the essential "C's" of Courtesy, Competence, and Cleanliness. More than that, though, they've mastered my favorite "C," Curiosity. Somehow, just through paying attention (and caring), the Casa's exceptional hosts managed to serve my favorite foods (every single bite delicious, BTW), play my favorite music, entertain me with clever conversation, and then leave me in peace, always at just the right time.||||I'm a desert local, and I'm already looking forward to coming back. Next time I might even bring my husband! - solo travelers, romantics, and families all will find an exceptional place to stay.

A group of 9 friends and fellow watercolor artists spent 4 amazing days at the Casa de Los Desperados B & B in the Whitewater Preserve area of Palm Springs. The ranch house had 3 comfortable rooms all with bathrooms ensuite. The 2 Airstream trailers provided additional space for 2 in each trailer. The trailers were so cool, very 1950’s vintage and provided all the comforts of home (even a bathtub in one trailer).|We took some day trips out and about to explore nearby towns and landmarks but our favorite activity was hanging out at the B & B. There were shady porches and with comfortable couches and rocking chairs where our group spent time chatting and painting and at night, star gazing.|Our meals at the B & B were 5 star. We were served a feast for breakfast daily of healthy delicious foods. We were able to have some dinners at the B & B as well. The dinners were not included in the reasonable B &B rate but were well worth the cost. They dinners were all delicious and the wine was free flowing.|Best of everything at the B & B were the owners Wayne and Michael, they prepared and served our meals, took care of the Inn and provided endless help and knowledge about the area. They have created a true oasis in the desert filled with comfort, relaxing vibes, calm, artistic decor, endless cookies and dogs. Staying at the Inn gave us all a wonderful gathering place to reconnect and chill.

My college bestie and I booked the vintage trailer through airbnb (they’re superhosts), and we were extremely pleased. It’s the perfect spot, offering peace and seclusion but with shops and restaurants in downtown Palm Springs only a short drive away. Consistent wind also makes it much cooler than it is in town. The beds were comfortable and everything was sparklingly clean. We enjoyed morning walks on the property and star gazing from the hot tub at night. Wayne and Michael suggested the free conservancy up the road for hiking instead of yet another trek to Joshua Tree. Great decision! We felt carefree having a picnic and little splash in the river up the road. This duo provides excellent hospitality and a top notch breakfast that had us skipping lunch two days in a row. We can’t wait to try dinner next time. Stay here!!

This is such an awesome situation all around. Beautiful property in an amazing corner of our incredible country. Wayne and Michael are ideal hosts from start to finish. They are also quite savvy and have experiences and opinions that are worth listing to (and VERY few people do). We could be so lucky to keep coming back periodically as long as we are blessed to have them be the stewards of this amazing home and acreage.

Owner Michael is such a Good Samaritan! I was stranded close by (dead car battery) in a precarious spot and he came to help me get my car jumped and back on the road. I didn’t get a chance to stay this time, but I’d highly recommend it because of the kind, good people at the helm?Not to mention, this canyon is an absolutely beautiful desert oasis— you have to see it! Michael, you made my day, thanks again. Thank you Casa de Los Desperados☺️
