I didn’t actually stay here, but as I was about to check-in, there was 3 different people checking out ahead of me. Each one had nothing good to say about any of their rooms. Complaints about roaches, bad service, and unfairly charging for things that seemed pretty unfair and unjust. One young lady had a little bit of makeup on one of the towels and one was “to dirty to clean” they said. So they charged her for the 2 towels $70 dollars! Anybody who’s stayed at any Motel 6 knows the quality of towels they have in the rooms. They are cheap thin scruffy white towels. At most the same towels would cost $10 for both at Walmart. They charged her 7 times that!! Since she paid her deposit ($100) with cash, she had no choice but to walk away with only $30. There’s not much you can do when they have your cash in their hand. Obviously if you paid with a card you could dispute it with your bank and most likely get it back. But this young lady was down on her luck and that cash was all she had and what she needed for another place to stay out of the rain. After witnessing all this I went ahead and made a b-line for the exit.

Positive: I became homeless as of October 31st 2024 by force not by choice but it?s in the city I?ve lived in my entire life. Negative: All 3 workers Akhil Nithen & Subash smoked. I smoke with a pipe. So without ever verifying by sight what I was smoking. All 3 onsite workers plus the owner Patrick told me it didn?t look good. I wasn?t smoking in the room. So what rules did I break?!

Came out here from SF because liked the rooms in the past, the guy at the front desk clearly intentionally tried to first overcharge my card then tell me that it wouldn’t go through when I know for a fact the funds were available so I went to Safeway down the street to get cash back after telling him that’s exactly what I was going to do. I brought the money for the room back to the front desk to get our room we had reserved and he told me there was a 100$ fee to pay with cash that he never mentioned once when I told him I was going to get cash then since it’s clear there’s a problem with renting to us to begin with. We have stayed here at least 3-4 nights a month for last 3-4 months and it sucks that because some guy at the front desk is playing some game for no reason that we had to drive 1.5hrs out of San Francisco to just drive back home. Really hope they get their act together because this guy being unprofessional and immature and telling me we have always paid a 100$ extra fee in the past when I know for a fact we have not and it’s some immature unprofessional game is frustrating and not ok to do to another human being for no reason at all. Service prior to this has been ok but his demeanor changed recently towards my significant other as well as her mother on a recent visit , her mother who is handicapped noticed it first and we feel maybe it’s because they don’t like to cater to the disabled or for other reasons I choose to keep to myself that would be just as bad if not worst but definitely not acceptable here in the . Really wish people’s feelings and discriminatory behavior from businesses would end but this is another business that clearly is showing clear discrimination and wasted our time literally while I am suffering from food poisoning and could have used the room we had booked and paid for. If they were unwilling to rent us a room honestly I’d have appreciated not playing their games of telling me a card with the funds available isn’t processing is exactly that, a lie and a game. Were absolutely not willing to pay a 100$ fee that I’ve never had to pay before that more then doubles the price of the room with zero explanation to why it is even being charged. We have also never been charged a deposit here in the past and this clearly wasn’t a deposit since motel 6 no longer charges deposits. For 190$ I’d much rather have just stayed in San Francisco at a hotel much nicer with much much better service that doesn’t have people who discriminate based off of ethnicity, disability, sexual preference etc. I was told they would wave the cancellation fee which since the room was clearly not able to be rented to us shouldn’t even exist much less when they were the reason not anything to do with the system that we were not already checked in and hopefully sleeping being left alone. Now have to figure out different arrangements while I’m very very sick and worse then that have to be treated by another human with the blatant disregard and lack of empathy and respect one human should show to another who has never given them a reason to feel differently. Issues like this are what keeps our society from being a much better place and to migrate in to America and bring beliefs and values that are not tolerated here is truly a shame.

Stayed here last minute last weekend. No problem checking in but the room floor was completely sticky as if someone had spilled a sugary drink across the entire room. Also bits of debris in numerous spots, including a recently discarded cocaine bag. The room was also infested with black flies. I killed at least 6 during the night and there were still more buzzing around when I left the next morning. I alerted the front desk to the issues but nothing was done and no one has reached out to follow up. For a place that was recently renovated, the room was disgusting.

Very good customer service, excellent and safe location and clean, fresh, basic but very comfortable room--where everything in room worked well. But, moreover, AJ--the experienced and professional person at the front desk---went out of his way to do the right thing and solve the two-hour long reservation issue that had unexpectedly surfaced.

Year after year, I normally stay next door at the Super 8. On this trip, I was planning to drive onward--past Martinez. But, as I was driving, I realized too tired--best not to drive further. Thus, in remembering I had noticed Motel 6- weeks ago, -- next door to the property of Wyndham Super 8, at last minute, I booked a room to rest---for the night---at the Motel 6.

I did not know-- when the Motel 6 national customer service phone representative had finished my laptop reservation -she chose the wrong category---and thus, my reservation arrived at the Front Desk about $12 more than what I had reserved the room for and had verbally confirmed with her on the phone.

Once I got about an hour of sleep--I realized I could re-try by laptop to see how the problem evolved. Thanks to AJ--we solved the problem--I was charged the correct rate --my routine correct Motel 6 rate for the night. His manager was also relieved and satisfied that all the numbers were accurate total.

Very clean room and also all plumbing, etc works strong and reliably. Highly comfortable bed, quality linens--outside of building appears old--don't let that detour you. The inside of the rooms reliable and comfortable--worth the basic price. Thank you.

I had passed by the Motel 6, Martinez, weeks earlier and reminded myself if I needed to stay again in Martinez, to try it out. The location excellent: central, and easy access to freeway, car wash, post office, food drinks. Safe and having peace of mind --important.

The rooms genuinely clean, fresh linens, very comfortable bed: the entire room--strong, hospitable, reliably clean. Plumbing, lights etc--all well cared for. I was so thankful to be here--and able to rest, sleep well. The room has a microw and fridge, too. I appreciated that in being tooo tired to go out.

AJ the previous night helped me fix a reservation problem that was unexpectedly waiting for me when I arrived around 7pm. I am very grateful to him--for helping me resolve. Do not hesitate to stay here.
Martinez--fully reliable as a place to have a great stay, sleep and know one is valued.

I cannot say enough positive things about this motel 6 location. My family and I had to come up for a family emergency. The staff was incredible. Anna was so sweet and compassionate. AJ, who I think is the owner, genuinely care about people. There was another gentlemen working, who I never got his name, but he was super sweet and compassionate with my family as well, very understanding and just a kind soul.
I can't say enough good things about the staff. The rooms were much much cleaner than other locations I've stayed at.
