Kimberly does an amazing job keeping her lodge clean and fun. She's had a lot of crews stay in her residential type units and that is a lot of cleanup during and after stays. She cares a lot about everyone and is a fun host.

I've never spent a night here at all, so I can not comment on the rooms or anything else that would've been found here. I did have a great experience a couple of years ago when I was planning on driving through California with my young pygmy goat, Carl. Because of his serious separation anxiety, he was going to have to stay in the room with me, but nowhere is okay with that. Especially with how new COVID was around the time I called, and I understand why I was turned down so many times.

Anyway, I called and talked to a gentleman (I don't remember his name at all) with that very question about my goat and I staying a night on the way through. He and I got to talking and he was super friendly and asked a lot of questions about Carl and I, where we were coming from, etc.; friendly small talk. To this day I remember the conversation about he and his friend's goat Chris, the trouble he got them into, and the laughs we shared.

I hope all is well with the owners, that gentleman, and I definitely would've stayed here just because of that.

Carl passed away last year and I've since moved to the midwest.

After a bad day oak grove was a nice stop for the night. Kimberly was pleasent and helpful. Hearing that we were without transportation, she help us get a ride to town ,over a mile away, to get dinner and snacks. We stayed in a roomy cabin and were surprised to find a kitchen with dishes and pans. Made a bad situation very good.

All these reviews are fake the owner kicked us out because I had made a joke to my roommate about who gets the room with the tv. There is honestly something wrong with the owner because she yelled at us. Don’t come here. The other motels in the area are much nicer. The hideaway motel is a great choice.

Charming place!!! One of our best layovers on east to west road trip! Super coy, rustic cabins and great owner!!! Would come back in a heartbeat.

My house burnt down same week my Grandpa was really sick the lady was so rude to us people were stopping in dropping off donations and family checking on us or picking us up dropping us off and the lady would chase my dad and my niece up the hill loudly n rudely tell ing them we can't have guest and then she had kicked us out the day my grandpa passed away I had to move me my spouse and my kids to another hotel and then falsely accuss us of things we didn't do because I went back for my wallet that was left in the room after I had spent a day to replace the cards that were lost in the fire omg I would never recommend to anyone staying there especially when u r in a emergency situation
