We visited this hotel about a week after it opened, and figured there would be some opening 'bumps'. Nope, everything at this hotel ran very smoothly. The first thing we noticed was that the atmosphere is a welcoming culture from the manager throughout the entire staff. Every time we walked in the door a staff member would look up and greet us. And there is always someone at the front desk, not hiding away in the back. Armando, the manager, was always visible asking us how our stay was going or if he could help us in any way. Absolutely love their customer service attitude.||I'm a light sleeper, and this location is quiet. Plus there is a constant fan, which I love to block out any noise in the hallway or anywhere. The room was a standard Home2 room, so not much else to add there. ||The breakfast was a typical Home2 - that said, I would have appreciated some cut fruit with the breakfast. ||We will be back, because of the staff and the quiet location. Very comfortable stay for us. Thank you Home2Suites!

I stayed here for 4 nights a couple weeks ago. For a brand new hotel, I was surprised at all the broken stuff in my room. The shower had a metal ring falling off the wall. The shower door would not stay closed. And the shampoo bottle that is supposed to be fixed inside the shower fell off and was on the floor. Housekeeping wasn’t that great either. There was lotion smeared on the lotion bottle and I found short black hairs in my bed. Also, one day the shower went completely cold halfway through my shower. The pros are it’s in a great location, the front desk staff are super nice, and parking was easy to find.

This hotel was only 3 weeks old at the time of our visit so everything was still new and clean. The suite was well equipped and had all the necessary household items for a longer stay. We went with this hotel because it had the Hilton name and we were expecting something slightly grander but it is El Centro so….

The biggest let down was probably the lackluster Free breakfast they offered. All the egg “omelettes” looked prepackaged. The boiled eggs were probably not boiled at the location. At 8:30, they were out of whatever was in the other warming trays that were empty. They brought out some black trays later with scrambled eggs and potatoes that looked like they jut came out of the microwave. The best item was probably the DIY waffles. For what it’s worth, there’s a Denny’s right next door if you want a real meal.

As previously stated, I would expect something better with the Hilton name attached. There are a couple other hotels in the same area that are cheaper so we’ll probably try those next time we’re out that way.

So to end on a good not, it is located right next to the mall.
